Well no, I dont eat that much meat. I usually eat chicken, turkey and bit of pork and beef. Lamb is much rarer and snails are more of a social food that I don't cook at home, so I only eat them like 6-8 times a year.
I do eat different kinds of fish regularly, though, and I eat a healthy amount of veggies and non-animals but they also aren't that varied. Like I usually eat rice, potatoes, artichokes, eggplant, lettuce, spinach, broccoli, lentils, peppers and soy products (tofu, miso paste, etc) + aromatics like onion and garlic.
I’ve eaten chicken, turkey, sheep, cow, pig, duck, rabbit, snail, deer and horse. It’s a bit more than 3, and that’s just the general category (for example, counting boars and pigs as only one type) and only land animals. If we list each fish species, crabs, squids, calamari…
Let's just say that there's such thing as misplaced pride xD
At least the couple of times I've been there it's been nothing to write home about. Ours is far better. And yes, BCN (and Tarragona too) has horrible water.
Spainiard here. You can drink tap water everywhere (that's connected to the drinking water network, obviously), but there are better tasting waters than others. Madrid's water is bad, Barcelona's is atrocious (I don't know anyone living there that doesn't buy bottled water, it even gives weird flavours when cooking), but other places are nicer. My town's water is awesome, I just fill up bottles from the tap and put them in the fridge for easy cold water and laugh at the camacus.
I have a feeling that if you worded it differently you'd improve the dating thing. If instead of "yeah, I like gaming" you said "my sons love videogames and we've been bonding a lot this way, it's been a nice hobby to get all of us closer" the non-gamers might be able to empathize more and keep the conversation alive.
Still so much better than discord for being a source of information.
Discord is atrocious as an info repository. It's useful to chat and to have a way to search what's been said, but it's horrible having to search there for that one useful message amidst all the other replies if you haven't participated. And the nature of a chat makes searching blindly very time consuming.
I think it’s mostly choice paralysis, people are used to have centralised social media and when they enter the fe diverse they are like “where should I go? Which instance is the best one?”. Maybe an automatic instance picker that assigns your closest, moderately populated instance with the option to manually choose would help solve this.
The EU doesn't do any hybrid model. Social democracy is still capitalism, being less shitty than the US doesn't make the EU any less capitalist.
