Eh, you just need to convince the politicians that bending to the lobbies will be unhealthy for them and their families, not hundreds of millions of people.
Giving them the votes for it would, at worst, change absolutely nothing [...] What's there to lose?
I believe this is exactly what people have been doing the last 40 years, and each day that passes the Dems are further right because they know people will vote for them anyway.
So, I'm not usian, but isn't it better for the long term to show Dems that you will vote a candidate for what their policies are instead of just because they aren't the other guy, thus making them choose candidates that at least pretend to listen to what the people want?
Voting for "not-Trump" just enables them and allows them to keep moving to the right, as long as the other guy is worse, like it's being happening the last 20+ years. "You need to vote for the eating-babies candidate! The other one is advocating for eating babies AND puppies!".

This is meaningless. 15000 pesetas are 90 euros, but in Spain the actual cost would have been the same before and after the Euro (if prices had been converted 1:1, of course) independently of it being 5 or 2 digits.
Being crass, our "leaders" aren't super-overtly sucking off Trump because right now it's not good PR. Von der Leyen is barely wiping the orange off her face as it is. Just wait until this simmers down just a little bit and they'll be deepthroating him again.
