  • Bridge mode isn't necessary as long as you make sure the IP of the new 3rd party router is different than the ISP router's. Although bridge mode would be best, in OP's case, they said that the router is locked down and they don't have access to it.

  • It's almost always bullying or abuse at home, but no one ever admits it. These people were mentally and/or physically tortured by other people. They want revenge or to inflict a fate worse than they were given. But we keep acting like bullying still isn't an issue and that these people were just messed up naturally.

  • Since you haven't gotten an answer yet. I thought I'd chime in. I'm not great with home improvement, but a coworker told me this:

    Find the stud that the nail is in.

    Use a drywall screw and screw it in near the nail into the stud.

    This should pull the drywall closer to the studs and make the nail stick out a little more.

    Pull the nail out and fill the hole with putty.

    Sand, finish, and paint after the putty has dried.
