Imagine trying to go public and creating this firestorm right before doing it. Complete incompetence.
First one that lets me get notifications when I get a reply is the one I stick with and help.
Everyone needs to realise it doesnt matter. Enough people already came to lemmy for us to carry on without reddit. Now we just do the normal long haul work - help users who need help so people start searching lemmy for tech solutions, post our normal content here so there is a reason to stay, upvote and comment others work so there is engagement. The rest will follow as this grows and grows. We have already won. Lemmy is no longer a fringe interest.
Powered by Linux kernel 6.1, bringing the most up-to-date Plasma 5.27.5 desktop, Debian 12 "Bookworm" is now available. Here's what is new!

Really is an incredible release

Unbelievable how out of touch they are with the community.
Same. Done with reddit. Going back is just pointless at this stage.
Not going back. Disgusting behaviour.
Seems pretty much a done deal to me. I have not added any additional subscriptions over the last 3 days.
Day 1 all my ‘new’ for 12h fit on 1 page. Yesterday it was 2 pages. Today more than 3.
Amount of content is just getting more and more. Starting to feel just like how it was on reddit. And I dont mean posts about lemmy either. My subscriptions dont include this sub (community) for example.
Feels like the tipping point is happening and feels good to get onto something new. Reddit was feeling stale anyway. I concede its not perfect but its working for me and meeting my needs right now. Its enough and I am happy
Tnx all of you. -T
No but its weird. Not sure how this got past testing.
I prefer lemmy but you can use kbin if you prefer it. Its the same information at the end of the day since they can pull the same stuff
The bell indicating you have a reply on the website is a core function.
That is great thank you. That is appreciated.
Arch has a great wiki and I began working on a wiki for debian as well since I could see how well it worked. Its not as good but still has some useful stuff.
Good to know. Tnx.
No its in testflight for ios called Mlem. Unsure if there is an android version. Maybe?
Yes this is absolutely critical for me and to transition from reddit. Any app without it is a non starter for me. Replying to you from the web right now due to this missing.
No notifications in the app if someone replies to you etc. Should be fixed asap.
Hi, Used to help people in the reddit debian sub with debian technical questions, how to, troubleshooting etc. See not a lot is happening here but happy to assist anyone if they need help.
Nee to the app so unsure if you can tag users but post a wuestion and I will check in each day.
Regards -T
