This is coming out of a presentation at Star Trek Las Vegas by the Hagemans.

TrekMovie.com is quoting them as follows:

Right now, there are active talks happening and I’m being 100% honest with you, we are 99% confident that there will be a new home for our show.

Not sure it’s uncanceled quite yet…

Is this marketing ahead of landing in its new home, or has Paramount decided to reverse its decision for streaming at leas? (It pretty clear that Nickelodeon can’t afford it for linear.)

The Hagemans are still referring to a ‘new home.’

I haven’t been able to figure out how to make it work either. Since the admin is only available via an account on Matrix, and asking about basic functionality isn’t at all sensitive, it seemed better to reach out within the community for tips.

Excellent, I saw that getting started and I wondered what it was.

Did you happen to figure out how to share the url with the overlay of your template? I’d really like to contribute.

Roxann Dawson hasn’t yet directed any episodes of the current era of live action Star Trek, but she’s a highly successful and in-demand director. Foundation, Bosch, the Good Wife, Agents of Shield, House of Cards, This is Us, Hell on Wheels - she’s directed on a diverse range of genre and dramas.

She’s possibly the most successful television director of any Trek main cast who got her start directing on her show.

I’m loving the unabashed ‘Bird of Prey’ vibe.

Let’s face it, the Intrepid-class were raptors in a fight.

It’s brigading to gatekeep their vision of Trek unsullied by franchise content made to appeal to other tastes. It seems many of them wish TOS were never made, or I don’t know how they can view episodes like The Naked Time or TNG’s Naked Now.

I’m highly skeptical that that many of them even hate-watched the episode.

The folks who gave it 3s to 5s seem more likely to be considered views.

The production and prop designers on all the new shows keep showing us deep dives. Many are fans themselves.

AMPTP continues to show disbelief that it needs to bargain in good faith.

There seems to be a fundamental misunderstanding of what it takes to have a viable labour market to serve their industry. What they have established is as close to a Ponzi scheme in employment as possible. And like all pyramid schemes, it becomes untenable when the last entrants realize they can’t get even a viable minimal return on what they put in.

Hollywood has been a very lightly regulated industry with many questionable practices and much anti-competitive behaviour. They’ve got themselves into the ‘enshittificaction’ stage of their industry, but unlike social media users, writers and actors had never intended their labour and content creation to be voluntary.

From a dispassionate academic lens, this will be a fascinating case study for future business students. From a human and social cohesion perspective, it’s appalling.

Yes, I’m already in more than one faction. You just need to indicate which one you are actively working in at a time.

I tried that a couple of times and it didn’t work for me. Could be because I am on mobile.

I have no difficulty on my IOS phone. I’ve done it all that way. ( It may be why I’m having difficulty sharing the url with the pinned template though.)

You do have to login through Lemmy to get started. Then you have to choose the colour of the pixel to enable it.

Not at committed to metal at all actually, other than I have stashed figs to paint and base.

I‘ve always been almost exclusively into historicals, and the question has really been the quality of the scupts. Now the plastic ones are much better, and they’re not awash in flash, so it’s more interesting.
