Is Reddit just a liberal recruitment zone?

If you cannot exist in spaces displaying different political opinions without feeling affected you either are a child and therefore easily molded or the ideas speak to you on a fundamental level. If neither is true then you can just ignore it, no?

I work as a qa tester for a project making millions a month and only two devs work on it. I sincerely doubt they get a fraction of a fraction of the income they create. It's wild how much profit companies turn while offering little back... :c

I'm not in US but I feel you. I moved to Ireland. A month into my new job they dropped the reasonable (seemingly) insurance and replaced it with one which legit covered nothing but a few online visits with a doctor. I had an emergency surgery and now have 10 years of medical loan to pay. I'd have it regardless because apparently you need to be with an insurance for 1-3 years for them to cover issues related to preexisting conditions. I'm now in Germany and was trying to find a doctor but got no responses. I decided to schedule a doctor further away and will go on Monday. I have to inform work because it's during work hours. Best of luck to all my health impaired comrades. I really hate how ableism is the most impactful systemical oppression and also the least talked about.

People from jobs which on average have above average income don't get affected by capitalism same way as the average and sub average income people do and therefore don't get exposed to the issues. They might even benefit from capitalism because they have the disposable income to do so. It's in their interest to preserve the status quo.

The Steam uprate killed gaming for me. I can solely launch steam if I uninstall, restart, install, restart and then launch. Otherwise it won't start. I'm so fed up... :c

Who do you think controls the narrative?

It's the same for the army. There is no real way to afford the props so people have to lend from the army who then controls the narrative however they want. With CIA it might be less direct but I bet they'd happily knock on your door if they found out you planned to slander them in an easily widespread medium.

I firmly believe individuals shouldn't pay taxes themselves. Tax should be on the side of corporations which have the means and funds to pay well informed people to manage it. Individuals don't have the means, the money or the time. But of course politicians are puppets for the corporations so any pro worker change in this regard is unlikely. Sad.

I always thought based on theory communism was iconoclastic like myself but the usual naming is after figures. I wish the community moved away from that and I don't ever adapt that naming myself. I think naming convention around the time periods of important communist time landmarks would be more suitable but oh well.

Yea I had a Polish manager who literally banned an employee for making a communist joke (the employee wasn't even a commie and it was one of the low hanging "our" type jokes). He'd go on an unironic rant how black history month is racist towards white people and how he was oppressed because they wrote black with uppercase and white with lowercase. Polish coworkers joked how a person's gender cannot be told because they're Chinese and then they concluded Chinese is a gender... I don't like holding any grudges against groups but shit like this makes me wary.

My best friend did education outside of China (her entire family has been living in US for a while but they keep declining her visa in spite of having no relatives anywhere else) and currently works in Europe. Two men from Poland kept harassing her at work with racists comments. No manager has ever done anything. They apparently won't get their contracts prolonged which is nice but for fuck's sake... She follows the Chinese community in the country she lives in and apparently racism got even worse as of late. I remember an ethnically Asian old lady got thrown from a high bridge into water a few years ago around there. My blood boils when I see sinophobes.

I haven't watched him in a while but to be utterly frank I consider him a very poor speaker. He completely lacks any charisma. I doubt he could convince anyone who isn't already set on going vegan. His content has always felt like it was made for vegans. I don't remember seeing any of his videos where it felt like he actually convinced anyone.

That's interesting. I never had any alts but I keep seeing people here mentioning having plenty. What's the purpose if I may ask?
