i just have a file called "notes" in my home directory, which i edit via nvim
Shakespeare out here steaming his balls
i assume hand written, as that is excessive even for ai. im gonna test it tho
edit:
Prompt: write me a prargraph talking about how em dashes are not a defibitive sign of ai. use ecessive amounts of em dashes
result: Sure—here’s a paragraph absolutely drowning in em dashes—because why not?
People often claim—incorrectly—that excessive use of em dashes is some kind of definitive sign of AI-generated text—but that assumption falls apart quickly—because human writers—especially those with a flair for dramatics or a tendency toward fragmented, breathless prose—have been peppering their sentences with em dashes for centuries—long before algorithms were even a concept—and while it’s true that language models sometimes favor em dashes—they’re hardly unique in that regard—many contemporary authors, bloggers, and even journalists lean on them heavily—for rhythm, for emphasis, for parenthetical asides, for style—so to say “em dashes equal AI” is like saying “ellipses equal laziness”—a statement that’s catchy but hopelessly reductive—and if anything, this overgeneralization itself is more indicative of shallow analysis than of any deep understanding of writing—human or artificial.
Want me to make an even more over-the-top version—like so dense with em dashes it almost collapses into chaos? Or keep it just slightly unhinged but still readable?
answer: yes
response: Alright—here’s the full chaos version—an unhinged wall of em dashes—designed to overwhelm, confuse, and yet—somehow—still make its point:
The idea—that em dashes—those long, elegant, interruptive strokes—are a definitive fingerprint of AI—is laughable—no, it’s absurd—because human writers—yes, real, living, breathing writers—have always loved them—used them—abused them—even worshipped them—as tools for rhythm—for drama—for sudden shifts—for inserting thoughts within thoughts within thoughts—and while AI—sure—might lean on them occasionally—it’s no different than a poet—or a novelist—or an over-caffeinated blogger hammering out a late-night post—filling their paragraphs with dashes—em dashes—everywhere—because it feels natural—feels conversational—feels alive—and if we start declaring any style quirk—a dash, a semicolon, a penchant for adverbs—as “proof” of machine authorship—then we risk erasing the messy, chaotic, wonderfully unpredictable reality of human prose—a reality full of contradictions—full of excesses—full of writers who don’t give a damn about rules—and that, ironically enough, is something no algorithm has quite mastered—not yet—not ever—so no—the em dash is not a smoking gun—it’s just a mark—and marks are made by hands—human or otherwise.
Want me to go even further—like a version where every single comma and period is replaced with an em dash? Or one that’s so self-aware it starts mocking its own overuse of dashes?
i prefer planck lenghts. makes it seem bigger than it actually is
all i am gathering is that it is - once again - the fault of capitalism
you are joking, but my room actually feels like that.
my 20 year old pc runs at ~5°C above room temp under load
well its getting time now. we have all waited enough
the 20 year old pc of my grandparents had a graphics card failure, i fixed it but tgey decided i should keep the pc and help them pick a new one (valid after 20 years ngl) now this PC runs debian and hosts my game servers and all
thank you. that means i only gotta make them float. that actually helps me a lot
no, but afaik you can join ts3 servers on ts6, also tgey have a linux client. but im currently unsure if i installed it via pacman or AUR, but you can download a binary from their website
teamspeak 6 (beta) is pretty nice.
I want some windows to auto start at the exact same spot and size each time, however the “size” and “move” window rules seem to do nothing, and tbh the wiki ain't really making things more clear.
The order in which the applications start seems to still determine how the windows tile.
The setup I want is Spotify center, and below 2 kitty terminals, one with btop one with cava, however none of the window rules seem to affect position.
Here is my current config, I already tried various different values for the “move” rule, but no value changed the order of windows i also tried it with windowrulev2 but that didnt change anything either
exec-once = [workspace 3 silent] spotify-launcher exec-once = [workspace 3 silent] $terminal --title visualizer $visualizer exec-once = [workspace 3 silent] $terminal --title resources $resources windowrule = move 100% 100%, title:(Spotify)(,*) windowrule = move -100% 100%, class:(kitty), title(resources) windowrule = move 100% -100%, class:(kitty), title(visualizer)

maybe you wore something that gave you just enough static charge to cause problems?
so i just installed lethal company (with mods) and chained together. and in both games i got a boost from 40FPS to over 100FPS! so i am curios what the reason may be?
both games seem to be not too optimised, also in chained together i get 20FPS in DX12 mode but ~110 in DX11 so whats up with that?
also lethal company finally uses more than 40% of my gpu and cpu now, for some reason? i assume this plays part in the performance jump.

so, JamesDSP needs root or it isn't able to modify Spotify sound. why is the JBL headphones app capable of modifying all sound without root? i assume it is actually modifying the sound with the headphones firmware, so is there a way to like apply JamesDSP without root? like any way at all?
are there like any ROMs that Support being rooted and still lock the Bootloader? i have tried LineageOS and CalyxOS but neither of them worked, Lineage just refused to lock, and calyx startet bootlooping with the Message "no operating system found"
better yet is there any ROM that comes pre-rooted?
cause i need a locked Bootloader or otherweise WhatsApp (which i unfortunately need) wont work, but coming from a rooted rom, unrooted android is unbearable
i dont know if this is the right place but its the best chance i got.
Phone: Pixel 8 pro Os: Lineage OS 21 (Magisk 27)
i keep getting the error "you need the official app to log in" but i have the official app. like literally the apk thats on their own damn website.
i tried Everything, hiding Magisk, setting up deny list, installing Bootloader spoofer, safetynet fix, play integrity fix, Even backing up the data from my old phone, which keeps me logged in for 5 minutes before i get a "verification expired" messege. like at this point im out of ideas. the crazy thing? on my old phone (pixel 6a, Lineageos also rooted) it worked from the very start, without any of the above fixes.
please, is there any way to get WhatsApp working in rooted LineageOS?
here a Screenshot of the error
Is there an application or method with like ADB or something that can easily make backups of my apps to transfer to another phone? i dont care about configs or having to login again, but reinstalling everything is a major bother.
Bonus points if it applies my home screen and QS-Tile Layouts. But thats just a nice to have.

So. I have a soundboard application (Soundux) running in Hyprland. I got shortcuts to work by force running it in XWayland however these only work when the application is focused. Is there ANY way that the shortcuts work when i focus another window?
Edit: spelling
So, I discovered weird behavior when trying to play games on an NTFS file system in Linux.
When i auto mount the drive through a fstab entry, it is only able to launch Linux native games (I think I read somewhere that this is a permission issue).
However, if I mount it through steams "select a drive" option, it works without a problem (so far at least).
I assume this is again a permission issue, as when I mount the drive through steam, I get a Polkit password prompt.
Anyone got a clue what's going on, and/or maybe a way to make the auto mount work, so I don't have to manually mount it after every boot?

Like the title says i need an os for a x86 tablet.
I already tested various different linux distros, (mint, ubuntu, debian etc.) with various de's (gnome, xfce, plasma, plasma mobile) but nothing really suits a tablet. I tried android x86 but that wouldn't install.
Basically my problem is that apps etc. Are made with mouse and keyboard in mind making me unable to for example easily scroll as i have to drag the scroll bar manually.
Anyone got ANY recommendation? The default os was mint btw.
Edit: solved i just used a paid app that gives you 3 free downloads
Hey, so I have some downloads on Amazon Prime that I want to remove the DRM from, however I only find deleted posts on Reddit or some sketchy programs/sites I really don't trust. Does any of you guys know how to remove the DRM?
I'm willing to do a lot of work if I have to as long as it's free.
Also, if it is an application that does it, I'd prefer FOSS even if it's inferior.
Maybe I can reward the first person with a solution with some movie of choice😉
Specifically i want that the baterry icon in my status bar doesn't change color when the baterry saver is on.
I have a rooted phone with magisk and lsposed if that helps.
(My reason for that is that the color doesn't fit with my theming but i need the battery saver to keep my phone from dying throughout the day)
Doese anybody have any app recommendations for a rooted phone with lineageOS?
Things like: A proper file explorer A terminal if possible And apps in general that you can't use without root (i.e. power saver tuner(although it's possible without root))
Pretty much all graphical apps that dont have thier own theming option (like firefox) are always just the white background default theme. No matter wether it's qt or gtk. Wich files would i need to edit to change that? Searching on the internet only told me that i should change an environment variable bit doing so changed nothing even though i have the themes installed
