  • It happens. I've definitely read a sentence, took it the wrong way, and only after rereading it later on (usually when someone responds to my comment) that I was incorrect.

  • I don't see anyone shitting on younger generations.

All I see is someone expressing what many in the younger generation are feeling. Like everything the older generations faced is happening again. Like the world is on fire and everyone is pretending it's fine. And they're wondering why nobody is as concerned as they are.

In other words, "WTAF is going on?!?!"

  • I know for a fact I'm opinionated, and don't have problems sharing them.

Please, by all means, block me if you think seeing my comments is adversely affecting you. I'd rather be ignored by someone than make their day worse (unless they're actively trying to make others miserable, but that's a separate discussion)

The fediverse has definitely gotten a little less hostile after blocking a few things.

And remember you can jump ship to another instance at any time! I've hopped a few times but for now my instance is filling my needs without much drama that I am aware of.

  • I can attest my wife's 30 year old grandma car has enough oomph to help a truck and camper get unstuck from mud. That's gotta be at least 901lbs.

  • It's just mimicking dazzle camo.

You don't REALLY think it's been upgraded, the camo just tricks your brain into thinking it does...

  • Kim and Torres were guests of the Ocampa, and Kess knew how to get in and out of the shielded area. The Kazon were in the area but not directly involved yet.

So by beaming her up immediately, they would have had far more time available to do thing.

Now, whether they ask the right questions quickly enough to get in and out of the caves/cracks Kess got out through, who's to say.

Either way, if I recall correctly, the kazon knew not to fuck with the Caretakers station, so while I'm sure they would eventually have tested it to see if anyone was still home, it wouldn't have been as quick.

Ultimately I believe if Neelix had been truthful, the crew would have had enough time to figure out how to send themselves back to the alpha quadrant, and possibly been smart enough to set spatial charges to blow it up soon after they left to make sure the kazon don't get their hands on it.

  • I think it's important to remember that they are very much human, and people do inhumane things.

Let's not delve into the nazi "we're just exterminating vermin" rhetoric. We are very much wanting actual people to suffer.

Note: I don't consider that a bad thing. They would happily cast the first stone, and I'm more than happy to shoot back. Don't start shit, won't be shit. MAGA just doesn't know how to go about the "don't start shit" part, and I don't think anyone should feel guilty about them fucking around and finding out. It's a pity they have to drag so many down with them.

  • What change is this move driving? I can't see around all the genocide.

  • "other people have it better, so stop being so happy!"

See how that sounds when you flip the sadness around?

Just because someone else's situation might be objectively worse than yours, does not for a second discount the situation you are in.

If my wrist breaks, I still have a broken wrist no matter how many people got their arms cut off.

    Don't feel guilty.

  • Ah, so you just wanted to stand on a soap box and let everyone see how virtuous and moral you are. Got it.

  • a spy chief saying something out loud is mainly a diplomatic message and not a secret plan.

Unless you're in the US, then they text secret plans directly to you.

But that's fair, it just seems like something a child would say when they're losing a game. "oh you're all right where I want you, this was all part of my plan"

  • And with all fads, it's cyclical. But on the internet, things move quicker so instead of 20-30 years, it's more like 5-10.

  • They still aren't fully ready to fight Ukraine, in what universe are they ready to fight a NATO nation, let alone all of them minus the US?

The only way I see them being "ready to target NATO" is if the cheeto in chief is commanded to join in by his handlers.
