The general rule for "BestOfLemmy" is to be an appropriate place for a Lemmy beginner to get a feel of Lemmy in general. Yall are somewhat forgiven for the heated topic, but its not a complete pass. Try to keep the perspective of "newbies to Lemmy are stopping by here first". And think about how you'd like to present yourself to them.

This is what you want new people to see? "vote for my candidate or you hate America"? Propaganda bullshit? I'm sure I'll write in a candidates name as I do every four years as, once again, neither major party is worthy of my vote, but the arrogance of people like you makes me want to vote for Trump out of spite.

It's pretty bad. Comparing it to other Trek or not. Writing is atrocious. Much of the acting is bad. Crying Captain crying damn near every episode. Not developing much of the bridge crew over 5 years. Not to mention not remembering their own rules (I remember once they said they couldn't jump while cloaked, and then they did it).

Stamets, Saru, and Georgiou were they only ones that kept me watching.

If others can find joy in it, sounds good to me, but I'll pass thanks.

Your hatred for Trump is blinding you to other, more likely conclusions. These individuals could have just as easily acted on their own. Or, since the man who was killed murdered a man not long before his own death, it could have all gone down as the police stated (though the lack of video from any vehicle or body came is odd).

If you would simply admit to this, it would be unfortunate, but the fact that you've convinced yourself you have come to the right conclusion, and anyone who doesn't agree with you is ignorant, is frightening. I would encourage you to perform some level of self reflection, using this situation as an example.

The actual facts are this: there is zero evidence Trump ordered anyone kidnapped into unmarked vans, and there is zero evidence he ordered anyone to be killed. Now, that doesn't mean other people didn't give these orders, but there is no evidence of that either.

Please stop spreading false information and propaganda. All your doing is adding to the culture war. Trump has done plenty of heinous shit in his life. No need to make stuff up.

This is as I suspected.

1. there is no longer such as thing as "reputable news org". For most online media, their sole revenue source are ads. Sensationalized articles generate more traffic. At best, you could say one org is better than the next, but that's not saying much.
2. this article provides no photo, video, or audio recordings to corroborate anything they've stated. Not even the interviews have an audio recording.
3. there is nothing in that article about Trump instructing anyone to abduct protestors in unmarked vans.
4. there is nothing in this article about Trump ordering US Marshals to assissinate anyone.

It frightens me how much of your own bias colors your judgement. You have drawn wild "conclusions" (for a lack of a better term) based on something that is barely consider evidence (evidence maybe, certainly not proof).

He had federal officers in unmarked vans abduct protestors with bags over their heads. He had the US Marshals assassinate Michael Reinoehl.

Is there evidence of this? And I mean actual evidence. Photos, videos, similar statements from unconnected sources?

Oh please. If it was announced tomorrow that a conservative elected official was in a coma, 99.98% of Lemmy would use it as jerk off material.

One of my first "hacking" a device was putting Rockbox on a 4 gb Samsung MP3 player in 2010. This device wasn't meant to play/watch videos, but Rockbox unlocked that capability. It had a tiny screen, but still.

2015 - 2018 I pirated very, very little. Didn't need to. Between Netflix, Hulu, and HBO, I wanted for nothing. Then, every time I went to the bathroom, someone was creating their own streaming service. Suddenly everyone was pulling their IP from Netflix and Hulu. Netflix wouldn't stop raising their prices. Their original shows are ok, but their movies are terrible.

If that's what I meant then I would have simply said that. If that's what you choose to believe, so be it. Most observant people can see this is a rather large echo chamber. It's really obvious.

There's very little quality on Lemmy. It lacks diversity. It's quite authoritarian left. Tankies under every rock. Even in non-politics communities. I still use a forked version of Boost to lurk reddit. But as someone else said, if never recommend Lemmy to anyone I actually know.

Their first two are some of my favorite metalcore albums from the era. The Crusade dialed up the thrash metal. Didn't care for much of it.

Well that was awfully short. He could have made a legit run against Trump, but his campaign was horribly managed, and early on he rode the culture war stuff too hard. Oh well. Four more years of orange man coming at us I guess.

There won't be any stacking the courts. Stop it. Just like Biden was suppose to stack the courts. It was bullshit then, it's bullshit now. But feel free to call gotcha on me if Trump wins and stacks.

What happens in a few states isn't relevant to a "nationwide" ban. Trump is barely a conservative (he was a Democrat for much of his life). Abortion is a losing issue for moderates and left leaning conservatives. Many are in favor of some type of abortion (12 weeks, 15 weeks, etc..). Any conservative would be a fool to campaign on a federal ban on abortion.

Honestly I don't care to argue immigration much. It's not a issue in my state.
