This is an apology, I hope whatever healthy thing you do brings you some joy in these dark times.
  • Reading thru the thread ... Only thing I can say is, I don't like Friends. Cool if you do though. Can't watch Seinfeld anymore. Didn't age well as I aged. Again, just me. Cool if you do.

Get you your joy as long as it harms no one else.

  • there is Indeed a problem
  • Yeah there's that about the dead ends. Been there as well. My own field now has a lot more gains to be had from networking. Past ones, not so much. Maybe it depends on the nature of the job as well? I'm not sure. I imagine it's a lot more helpful in sales.

I'm not great at it myself honestly. I could really learn from my spouse. She's an SME in a niche field and literally every job after the first one, she was recruited by someone in her network. But that's neither here, nor there.

Anyway, that's all I got. Rant over.

  • Anon has a role model
  • A Silmarillion enthusiast in the wild!

If memory serves, it's been a while, she became endlessly insatiable after consuming the two trees upon Melkor's behest.

It took lashes of fire from the Balrogs to free him from her, since she wanted to consume the Silmarils as well and attacked him for them.

  • Don't let him see you cry.
  • I once vouched for my (brother, best) friend at a South Asian restaurant. Told them in my language to give what he asked, and I would be responsible. I've never seen a human so happy. Love you my brother. Mike, may you always smile like that.

  • As an owner of children, I approve this message
  • This is one of those things I see people complain about everyone complaining. Like vegans or CrossFit people. I've met far more people complaining about complaints than actual incidents.

Most of us get it. It's kids. I've seen obviously not emotional support animals brought in by asshats. Kids aren't my concern.

  • Firmware.
  • Started computer science in grade school with only an hour of actual computer time a week. A LOT of theory and history. Charles Babbage, Ada, ENIAC, etc.

This stuff was drilled into our heads. Same with bit, byte and, halfway between bit and byte, a nibble. It's a thing. 4 bits is a nibble.

Funny enough, I couldn't code to save my life now.
