Honestly I’ve had sinus issues all my life from allergies that I’ve just grown accustomed to it. I just blow my nose all day when I need to and I use paper towels.
Probably kinda gross I suppose but I am used to it. I have noticed when I vacation to costal cities my sinuses aren’t nearly as bad….
Yeah my state has gotten rid of inspections and it’s baffling to me.
I disagree. Mainly for the reason that if pedestrians are around, they might not know the lane your vehicle is in is a turn only. It’s just good etiquette and makes things safer.
Just found a box of old tapes in my closet the other day. I was part of the problem
This doesn’t super surprise me. Driving should be taken more seriously. You’re controlling a 2 ton death machine and it shouldn’t be taken lightly.
I believe this happens everywhere. I think maybe some people lack correct depth perception or something and maybe they are overcompensating for it? It is highly annoying though, I would agree.
Also: TURN SIGNALS, PEOPLE!!! USE THEM EVERY SINGLE TIME FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. EVEN IF YOU THINK NO ONE IS LOOKING OR YOU’RE IN A TURN ONLY LANE. No excuses
I have it on but I do toy with the idea of turning it off occasionally.
My biggest problem with typing is I will “accidentally a word” a lot in sentences.
You should get a No Solicitors sign. I’ve been thinking about getting one as well but thankfully I don’t get them as often as you.
I see you know your judo well.
Absolute. I have been touching his paws everyday. I have a nail grinder and soon will be bringing that around to get him used to it before I actually do any grinding.
I wanna get this pup raised right!
Just curious what the lemmy hive mind has to say. I recently rescued a 6 mos year old puppy and his nails were trimmed down proper. It’s been 2 weeks now and I can noticeably hear them clanking on the floor but still look pretty darn short to me.
My last dogs I had I didn’t quite keep their nails that short but I probably should have.
Well I’m not in that area but will be interesting to see how things play out. I do rather enjoy hearing repubs meltdown over that election so I’ll take that bonus by proxy.
As for me, totally not ready for a hot ass summer and probably not ready for whatever hot mess our shitbag president is gonna do next.

Yeah I just finished season 2 and was super meh compared to the first. It did get a bit better the last couple episodes but the first half of the season was a melodramatic snooze fest.
Instant upvote for Some More News. Love Cody and his team’s channel and content!
Vaping but it feels like I would lose one of my best friends so I’m not quite there yet unfortunately. Need to finish my Alan Carr book The Easy Way.
Always loved this one! It’s got the funk and a good beat and the vocals are awesome - not to mention the commentary!
So sorry for your loss. I lost both of my elders last month and it’s been a rollercoaster for me. Good thoughts and vibes to you friend! Your dog looks like they were stellar and the bestest!

Looking forward to this one! I used to be a big fan of this band back in the day and I’m sure this will be interesting. It’s screening for one night in my city next week!
OpenAI's latest and greatest AI model was outclassed by the 1.19 MHz near 50-year-old console gaming legend.

Looks very Balatro inspired right? Just was watching the show the other night and found this interesting.
The Wire is my all time favorite. Currently watching The Shield and while it’s not bad, it’s more of an edgy Law and Order type cop show.
I don’t think anything truly measures up to The Wire but just wanted to hear about anyone else’s recommendations.

Good doc from 4 years ago about public lands and some of Trump’s policies during his first term.
I havent used any type of straw in quite some time. Plastic or paper.
They do nothing for me and I think they are one of the most pointless disposal food packaging items to exist.
Edit: there are many useful applications for straws I simply didn’t think about when posting this. Thanks for the commenters for pointing this out.
I think I was in 5th grade and I was in the bathroom with some schoolmates. I was using a urinal, and somehow a discussion about plumbing came up. I was telling dudes that yeah when you flush the urinal, the water that comes out from the top is actually “clean” water. So I flushed a urinal and stuck my hands at the top to let the water flow over them to get them wet and was all like “see?!” Of course I washed my hands in the sink afterwards and then we all went back to class.
Fast fwd a few minutes later and someone told the teacher I was washing my hands in the toilet in front of the whole class. I was like “noooo I was just trying to prove that it wasn’t doodoo water that comes out when you flush” But needless to say everyone thought I was some sicko toilet hand washing boy for like a week. I dunno I guess it was a pretty gross way to prove a point.
Y’all got any good ones? Lol
I never knew and got curious and looked it up. I guess it makes more sense than slamming your testicals against the wall.
I occasionally produce music and starting to get back into it. I just got a new machine with Windows 11. Anyways, this issue has been a thorn in my side for years. I CAN’T stand when you are browsing files through windows explorer and if you have a folder full of just audio tracks(.mp3, .wav, etc) then windows will automatically set the folder properties as “Music” - which means it shows you the track #, artist and other music related metadata it thinks you want to see. I want all my folders to have their properties set as “General Items” by default but not sure it’s even possible.
I absolutely cannot stand this and I’m determined to hopefully figure out how to turn it off - or what I’m doing wrong. If anyone knows what I’m even talking about or have any input I would greatly appreciate it 🙏
Just watched a YouTube doc about the psychological effects of isolation and learned about this poor child. Really messed up stuff.
