  • builds convo when you do normal slams for each enemy hit

    That might be good but it means you're missing out on +60% radius... hmm, so many options

  • I want to like incarnon melees but they are always so tricky to maintain for me. I like to rely on guns most of the time, only pulling out the melee when needed and that doesn't work well when you need to maintain the combo counter and worry about the time limited incarnon mode.

    The only one that I liked was Okina because it has the "freeze combo decay when stowed" ability

  • I haven't used Arca T. in a long time so I decided to give it a try since it was already upgraded a bit and this shit is just ridiculous in the simulacrum! Basically just galvanized reflex, seismic wave and crit mods, even without any capacitor charges, basically wipe out any battle group in one or two slams!

    I bound the heavy attack on a mouse side button so it's not as bad, but there's still the drawback that it doesn't pull the melee weapon out if you're in mid air like regular E does, you have to swing it once before jumping and then heavy attack.

  • I haven't gotten a single blueprint for his parts yet, having just atrocious luck with bounties, so I can't contribute much here besides saying that I'm looking forward to trying him out. Between his stealth, wallhacks and all the new arcanes/mods that enhance stealth attack I think people are going to make some crazy busted builds with him.

    One thing I have noticed is that resupply never runs out on Ocucor, so do with that knowledge what you wish

  • Can quartakk use cannonade? I think the kuva variant has automatic fire but the base one always felt like a marksman rifle despite it being technically a burst weapon

  • They improved it in a recent hotfix but yeah, they are difficult to find. For me the easiest thing is just circle around the lock and check every little container white square in vicinity, eventually you find it.

  • Ehh, for cavia it was just like a few more lines of dialogue and the customization feature. I dunno if I want to get my hopes up when they haven't mentioned anything specifically. The party could mean just the pizza party diorama when you finish the Finale, no clue...

  • From what I read so far, high ground means NOT airborne, you have to be standing ~15 meters above the enemy when killing them. It could be less since some people also reported that it's enough to stand on top of the stairs in the underground areas.

  • I hope there's a bigger reveal or change in dynamics either at max rank, or when the NYE arrives in about a month. It definitely felt too sudden and short wrapping it like that in the finale...

  • Having completed the finale quest, I have to say I'm not a big fan of their storytelling and pacing in the main quest but I still adore everything else about the update. The Hex and the KIM chat system are amazing, I love the new map and the bikes, the Nyx rework is decent and the new calendar reward system seems promising, rewards are pretty good. The soundtrack is a banger too. The update has been living rent free in my head for days now.

  • I was copying someone else and using a vastilok for armor strip but yeah, really regretted not going with something that has more clearing power. I might try nukor with fortifier for the next attempt, just for that specific phase

  • Yep, I gave it a try solo yesterday and it wasn't that bad! I actually did well until the second phase on the secret boss when I just got swarmed by all the eximus enemies during the regeneration phase.

  • I saw it and was tempted to try it out but it'd probably make me realize how bad I am at finding and shooting weakpoints lol. Raw damage also seems to free up the merciless arcane slot but I'm not sure what else to slot in, maybe it would be a nice combo on a secondary with fortifier?

    I'm guessing it is going to be abused a lot with somethine like Citrine however

    edit: Actually between this and the arcane that gives bonuses per unique status, Citrine just keeps winning in this update eh?

  • I tried the SP tank and those poison puddles that appear out of nowhere and disable abilities wrecked me hard, especially considering just how much of a bullet sponge the tank is.

  • I really like the consistency of that character being able to do that, and even use the iconic fist slam! I was surprised they can do it there, at that point of time though, but it is a logical continuation so it doesn't feel like that much of a deus ex machina

  • I love it! The story was a bit confusing and too fast paced, I wish there was more actual exposition to fill in some obvious gaps that should be clear, but I love the rest. The chats with the Hex is an amazing feature, the new missions are pretty fun (although I still struggle navigating the underground areas), I love the gemini skins, I absolutely adore the backroom and have moved there for good.

    I am also enjoying the Nyx rework although I end up relying mostly on her psyching bolts for everything. Absorb/assimilate and mind control are still really underwhelming and I think I'll probably just helminth something over them, maybe even a boring roar since she relies a lot on her weapons.

  • Definitely seems like I underestimated nullstar damage, fire and blast damage stacks up fast and can do some crazy stuff once hounds start to spread it with the bond mods. Now the only debate is whether to go for archon vitality or just shield tank with arcane aegis.

    I also really like the orange shard idea although I have no idea how efficient it ends up being since crit chance stacks additively and secondaries already have the pretty powerful p. pistol gambit

  • This whole update just seems sillier and sillier but damn if I'm not very excited for it, can't wait!

  • I've been trying the build someone else posted above, he's using just adaptation and arcane aegis on base shields and it seems decent enough. I put in augur secrets too since I didn't know what else to slot and it all worked well enough with <200 lvl enemies. Feels a bit naked with such low base numbers but I'll get used to it for sure :D

  • Mag is one of those frames I always want to use due to a cool theme and then when I try to play her it just feels finnicky and weird.

    Pull pulls but not everyone and not the same distance or to the same location.

    Magnetize is either completely OP or you face an eximus that just walks through it, and it's also annoying for teammates that might want to shoot something not in a bubble but you have them all over the place.

    Polarize is the thing you spam to not die, at least until enemies run out of shields and armor.

    Crush is cool I guess

    Seems like everyone just builds her with shield gating and magnetize abuse in mind but that doesn't seem that fun. Wish it were to me, for Aoi's sake 🤷‍♂️ I just wanted to be Magneto and a telekinetic god throwing stuff around, or like Jesse in Control, but it ain't it.
