  • I'm in the US, and they opened a US based online shop this year. They were also doing a big Barnes and Noble push around summer, but when I visited most recently all the moomin stuff had been moved out of a prime location and been heavily discounted.

    I'm interested on others' thoughts on this. I got into Moomin after Finnish family started gifting me mugs, and I now have a sizable collection. To me as a foreigner, the mugs were my gateway to the actual books. Is your experience that the children around you are getting burnt out on Moomin before they're old enough for the books?

    Anyone ever try languagedrops? Any experiences?
  • If they do go that route, I recommend they set their language level to at least intermediate, because otherwise they will be locked into the beginner sets until they get enough points, and they are like early A1 vocab lists

  • At costco by me, you can get 24 eggs for 9 dollars. At the regular grocery store you can get 12 for 6. I think the bigger impact is any product that has eggs in it has jacked up the price to a ridiculous extent, beyond what the shortage would require.
