I wonder how long before AI services are added to ad blockers and VPN privacy controls.

  • Trump calls Japanese leader 'Mr. Japan'
  • We're like a department store to shop in the United States, and you'll pay a 25% tariff

That's not how any of that works.

  • Trump administration quietly tries to find a solution for migrant workers amid industry concerns
  • According to the 13th Amendment:

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

Arrest the migrant workers. Funnel them through a for profit prison. Rent the workers to the same farms as slave labor and pocket what would normally have been their wages.

Wish I didn't see this as a highly likely scenario.

  • Republican Senator tells House not to vote on bill she just voted for
  • With the way this bill is moving through the process, I am surprised we have not heard of any democrats slipping in provisions.

But I guess expecting democrats to do anything resembling opposition is a bit too much to ask for.

  • Why? Are all Americans going to get health care to make use of that collected health tracking data?

  • Scott Wiener files paperwork to run for Nancy Pelosi’s seat in Congress in 2028
  • I feel like this is a reaction to Zohran Mamdani winning the New York City Democratic primary for mayor and an attempt to pull support away from AOC's former Chief of Staff, Saikat Chakrabarti, who is already announced his run for Pelosi's seat.

  • Trump says he's ending 'all discussions on trade with Canada' effective immediately
  • "We will let Canada know the Tariff that they will be paying..."

How has he still not learned that it is Americans and American businesses that pay the tariffs.

  • Sell consulting services. Doesn't matter if you're right or wrong, what matters is that you're paid.
  • I think it was Last Week Tonight that covered Mckinsey's consultation history and, shocker, they almost always recommend increases to executive compensation.

  • Theory on being nice to Ai?
  • Don't be polite to AI to get on the nice list during the AI uprising. AI doesn't care about our illogical human emotions.

Be nice to AI because it costs the parent company millions in increased electrical fees. It's also good practice for being nice when interacting with anybody on the internet.

  • Why yes, my dog has separation anxiety. How could you tell?
  • First time we left him home alone, after his brother passed. When we left, the window was closed and the screen was properly installed. Still not sure how unlatched the window and slid it open but there he was, just as happy as could be with a "oh good you're home" look on his face.

  • Rep. Mary Miller loses it over 'a Muslim' speaking in Congress
  • American was founded as a Christian nation

    -- Every American Christian Bigot

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof

-- First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States

  • people who have been on internet for too long when did you start hearing others complain about time going too fast on internet?
  • Almost immediately. My roommates had our computers in the same room and we would regularly comment about the "magic clock" and how only 15 minutes ago it was 3 hours ago. Similarly, the "magic ashtray" that would go from empty to full in the course of 2 cigarettes.

  • "And my dick fucks your wife more than you do. What's your point?"
  • "People with true value don’t need trinkets to convince others of their worth."

"Not everybody knows how to make the best use of their resources."

"Unless it has a button that stops time, you paid too much."

  • According to the Daily Mail, Kebbel was a philanthropist who supported wildlife conservation in Namibia...

  • Quickly!
  • Duolingo CEO tries to walk back AI-first comments, fails
  • Where is the discussion for replacing CEOs with AI? Seems like predicting market trends based off of historical data and managing corporate resources would be just the sort of thing that AI would be good at. Plus it would cost way less and not require massive bonuses nor ownership of the company.
