Is there any Blu-ray audio (HFPA) release of Michael Jackson's music?

I love Michael Jackson and his music and was wondering if there has ever been a release of his music on audio-only Blu-ray so that I can truly own the music in its ultimate highest quality on Blu-ray physical media with the advantages over CD such as higher res 24 bit audio, surround sound support and better durability/longevity.

I know you can burn Blu-rays yourself but I don’t have much experience with that and don’t really want to buy a burner, the disks etc. and put in all the effort, I preferably just wanna buy a single finished product.

Is there maybe a site that lists all the Audio Blu-rays ever released since this seems to be a very small niche that's hard to find in general? Cause so far I couldn’t find any Michael Jackson music release on Blu-ray.

I’m preferably looking for the album Dangerous. I know that the albums have 24 bit and Atmos releases, so the content is definitely there. Only question is if it exists on Blu-ray physical media. And if there is no official release, is there maybe any third party service that can do this?

The reason for the bad results of the 3D theater movie quality from the latest LTT video. Hope this helps someone.

I wanted to give some clarification for the latest LTT video about the 3D theater setup regarding the bad image quality they experienced. I hope I can clarify this for people and maybe someone from LTT will even get this info that they can fix their experience.

The reason for the bad result is they made a mistake by re-encoding the 3D Bluray rip using BD3D2MK3D which greatly compresses the quality.

They didn't have to prematurely split the images and re-encode it with BD3D2MK3D in a lossy way and only half the resolution of the already bad quality of 3D Bluray. They didn't have to re-encode at all.

Instead they only needed to use MakeMKV which is lossless and then use Stereoscopic Player (which does support the MVC file) to separate the images. In this way they wouldn't have lost any quality from the 3D Bluray and it would be a bummer after they put in all this effort for this to degrade the quality because of this.

---

Despite this (starting a general topic) it's sad that 3D Bluray didn't get any spec update such as standard Bluray with 4K Bluray (but understandable due to the questionable decline in 3D interest). So even with the full 3D Bluray quality you only get 1080p, SDR, little storage resulting in low bitrate and 24FPS even though more and more 3D films including the James Cameron collection are mastered in 4K, HDR and most importantly HFR. Especially the 24FPS in 3D are way too choppy, it takes you out of the immersion and can cause headaches/nausea after time.

As long as you're not investing a fortune in a DCI compliant theater or use the Apple Vision Pro, there will be no other way to experience these intended formats other than visiting a commercial theater that supports these formats, preferably IMAX with dual laser system.

But imo the Apple Vision Pro is still the best way to experience these movies. The Vision Pro also enables multi-view now that makes u able to watch the movie together with others.

But I understand that people wanna watch in the "traditional way" by actually seeing your friends and family in the real world and not having their virtual representation in this heavy headset.

So for traditional home theaters you can do motion interpolation and 4K/HDR upscaling on your own but obviously it won't be nearly as good and realistic as the commercial grade native format (and this only involves even more complicated steps that people could mess up and actually degrade the quality by incorrect encoding. I would recommend to at least use real time motion smoothing. There are systems that do 4K/HDR/HFR upscaling on the fly such as madVR).

As they corrected in the video they could've used a laser system for projection but the ultimate solution would definitely be a micro-LED wall which even have glasses-free 3D and they aren't even that damn expensive anymore. Micro-LED wall paired with DCI compliance would be the end-game for "traditional"/non-VR home theater but DCI of course would be incredibly expensive but this tech really is next level and actually puts you in a different world.

Hope this helps someone.

What's the best way to learn the Spanish spoken in the USA?

Hey there, I was wondering what good ways are to learn the Spanish dialect that is most commonly spoken in the USA since America has a lot of Spanish speakers and it's the second most prevalent language after English (like English, America obviously has a different version of the language compared to for example UK or India).

I had Spanish in school but only know a few basic things. I wonder if there is some way to really get immersed in the language (other than oc moving there and speaking with native speaker in person) to naturally learn it to be able to have conversations with Spanish speakers in America that sound as local/authentic as possible (so I don't wanna focus on artificial learning that focuses too much on grammar and uncommon words that aren't that important for everyday conversations).

Can posts and comments on Lemmy be fully deleted since they still appear with the option to "undelete" after doing so?

I noticed when you delete a post or comment on Lemmy it still shows up on my account with the option to "undelete" it which fully restores it and makes it public again.

Does this mean you can't fully delete them and basically only "hide" them from the community but they will still stay on the server forever? Or is there any option to fully delete them or will that happen after some time?

How can you see an overview of all the replies you got on comments posted on YouTube videos?

This is quite the technical question and I doubt I’ll get an answer on this small community but I’ll try it anyways.

So I’m a very heavy YouTube user and comment multiple times pretty much every day for years. Over years I wondered why I haven’t received notifications when someone replied to my comments and only got notified when someone directly referred to my handle or sometimes when someone liked or a creator hearted my comment (which made my experience on YouTube very lonely since I never got anything back).

Now I figured out I disabled the specific notification setting responsible for comment activity called “Notify me about activity on my comments and posts on other channels” (I must’ve turned this off in the past prolly cause I got too many notifications) and after turning it on I randomly got notified about past comments from me that literally have thousands of likes and hundreds of valuable replies and interactions that I missed out on.

Now I’m wondering if there is any way I can get an overview over all the replies I ever received on my comments because I can’t go through every individual comment I ever posted since they’re way too many.

If there is no direct way maybe there is some script or some trick that can pull all the replies I ever got and maybe see my most liked comments to see all the interactions and comments I missed out on.

I bet there are many people who want to see all the comments they got on their own comments so an answer would be much appreciated.
