  • If i ask "how do i change the oil filter on my insert car model here" and you answer "get an electric car" i'm gonna think you're annoying and a bit of an asshole, especially if you keep doing it over and over on every similar question. It's not a "solution" that interests anyone when they ask that kind of question. Fuck off.

  • Not gonna argue that it's not a waste of money to get a watch that expensive, but just having a watch is quite nice. Not having to fish my phone out of my pocket and click the power button every time i want to check the time is something i appreciate.

  • IIRC it's done entirely through the mental link, the "reciever's" body just fertilises the egg on its own, somehow using the dna of the partner. I assume it's transmitted through the link, but they also can't be using it like we do since all asari children are fully asari.

  • Well... the elves were the first awake sentient beings in middle earth. Before Illuvatar confronted Aulë about the dwarves they were essentially just bodies without proper minds, they couldn't do anything without him controlling them. I would argue that they weren't sentient. When Illuvatar granted Aulë's wish to grant them the secret fire he also put them to sleep, because elves were supposed to be the first-born and first non-ainur in the world.

Who was actually the first sentient race could be argued either way to me, since the dwarves were techically there first in body but weren't awakened to actually act as sentient creatures until after the elves had roamed the world for a bit.

All this is from memory, so apologies for any errors.
