Nowadays, free time means potential money for a lot of people. If they're spending their free time making something that you benefit from, I don't think that it's too far-fetched that they asked to get compensation for it.

Oh wow, that's amazing! What always bothered me about pictures like this....is seeing all of the stars in the background. Like, this is a whole different galaxy than ours....and there's soooo many stars/galaxies beyond that. Makes my head hurt when you really start to think about it.

They are literally going through the same pains as any other social media sites that start getting big. Every social media site wants to be "all-inclusive" until you have to start worrying about content moderation and liability. Shit gets intense.

As for the "downtime," they've done posts about it. They are being constantly DDOS'ed by someone (assuming another defederated instance owner). And given your annoyance of it, it sounds like the DDOS is working as intended. The instance admins have done a fantastic job so far and I intend to wait it out.

By redefining what "racism" is, you don't get to just give yourself a free pass on racial slurs and insults. Defining "racism" as being determined primarily by systemic power as a whole is odd, to say the least, and creates even more odd assumptions. Does that mean if a minority non-white population gains a controlling, majority power in the US, that white people are no longer racist in the US? Yeah, that sounds kinda retarded, don't it? Can a Hispanic person be racist to a black person? Or is there some sort of grading formula that determines what's okay and not okay to you?

The definition of racism by the dictionary: Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, **typically **one that is a minority or marginalized.

By that very definition, your usage of "cracker" is every bit as "racist" as calling any other ethnicity any other racial, derogatory word. And your community is not doing itself any favors when you single out people that are somewhat supportive of your view points.

I made a single comment unknowingly in lemmygrad and was accused of being a colonialist for being a social Democrat. They used racial slurs against me, they accused me of saying things I never said, and acted like I was the evil that invaded their space. They didn't block me, but holy fuck were they a toxic cesspit of leftist rage because I wasn't "left" enough.

You want social change that doesn't end in anarchy and countless deaths, societal change needs to happen slowly and they couldn't find reason in that. They want/expect some sort of paradigm shift and anyone that doesn't fight for this is "the enemy".

I grew some strawberry cough awhile back that was some of the most flavorful weed I've ever had. We described it as Artic Berry as it tasted crisp, with lots of berry flavor in the finish . We let it mature at around 58% humidity for about 6-8 weeks after harvest, and it brought a tear to my eye. The only other shit I ever smoked was random unnamed kindbud from my local dealer - never had anything else. It was a paradigm shift in my life lol.

I'm trying to explore different flavor profiles, so if you've ever tried Starberry Cough. I'd love to hear your comparison between the two.
