I would have figured it would have died because of the design.
We definitely don't need a 2 yet, but once the hardware for the current LCD/OLED models becomes obsolete or close to it, I would love a 2.
Pretty sure that's just for the free tier accounts, but I could be wrong.
Had a little bit of fun trying to get their search feature to return no results. Games with no actual end like Ardor obviously return nothin, so they're not fun. Realized that just about every single game I could think of has an entry on their website. And that all the games I play aren't obscure enough to be excluded from their record, even if there's no time displayed.
The only thing that I found that wasn't on their search, from my testing of random titles, was a pokemon fangame: Radiant Topaz. Everything else I tried was on there. Even a Spanish fangame called Pokémon Iberia (which I haven't gotten around to because I can't read Spanish) has a result. Even the short Christmas VN spin-off (prequel-esque story?) Christmas story of Brok the Investigator has an entry, and it's only been out since December.
I don't know. All I can say is it's definitely related to the Internet causing slang to change faster than ever before. That, and the whole "censor yourself because large companies are family friendly pussies" culture that perverts the Internet. So it's probably a combination of things like that.
Assuming I don't die, I think it'd be fun to travel throughout the World of Twelve in the MMORPG Dofus. It wouldn't be nearly as fun as visiting the world as seen in the animated Wakfu show or the spin-off, but at least I could meet Kerubin and be an Ecaflip.
Otherwise, I have absolutely no idea what game I'd wanna be stuck in because after a long time I'd get bored of just about every game, Dofus included. Though, I assume by the time I start getting real bored of living in Dofus that the servers would be totally gone.
Definitely a me thing, and something I'd need to keep messing with, but I just kept getting nothing but static.
Still, real cool.
Don't know what's going on at 2K, but I gladly took the offer and even got the bundle for a Steam friend I haven't talked to for years.
Absolutely wild and I thought it was some sort of error at first considering right below it they were advertising just BioShock Infinite and their DLC pass thing for more than the whole bundle by a little less than $2.
They would definitely gladly be wilfully ignorant to the time Communist China sent in 80,000 troops to Vietnam around 1978 to teach Vietnam a lesson, apparently saying that they'd take Hanoi in a week. Those troops failed considering Hanoi is still here. Of course both sides are quiet on this, but I still find it ironic in a way.
Even as someone who grew up in the US, I always feel left out of the cultural landscape in a lot of ways. But that's my own fault for walking to the beat of my own drum a lot of the time. I ain't got time to learn shitty new slang or watch brain rotting videos or use most any social media out there (despite the fact I'm doing it more than ever thanks to Lemmy and Mastodon).
You ask me to make some old, outdated reference, I definitely can. "Paranoia Paranoia, everybody's coming to get me! Just say you never met me!" ~ Flagpole Sitta by Harvey Danger
Or even one that's probably even more obscure because it's from a children's songs CD. "2, 4, 6, 8, Sunny Skies All Day!" ~ What I Do In The Morning (from the "Hey! It's Franklin!" CD)
But ask me anything about recent pop culture references and slang and I'll draw a blank. Anything from Game of Thrones outside the popular memes like that "Winter is coming!" meme and I'm lost. That horrendous sk*bidi bullshit? Absolutely no clue other than it's 200% garbage. Ask me the latest Internet trends and best I can say is AI filth and ruination most everywhere instead of any of the social media trends that people are actually asking about.
I definitely feel like I got an absolute steal of a deal. No idea when the sale ends, but I got all 3 games in the BioShock series, with DLC, and the 2 remasters for a little over $11USD before tax this weekend. I just finished my first time playing any of the games on PC. Had to install the original on my desktop with win10 because I couldn't get the resolution right or brightness slider working on my steam deck when docked. Definitely prefer console controls because I was having a lot of trouble with mouse and keyboard controls, so I'm gonna have to switch to controller.
Other than that, I started playing Stellar Initiative this weekend as well and it's was pretty difficult on the easiest difficulty while I was learning how to play and what works well with which enemies.
Can't speak from a non-Americacentric POV, but usually I find that just by being online I somehow am able to find out a lot about what's going on in some places because of what I watch on yt. That, and communities here.
Some weird new law in Japan censoring Mangaka from creating what they want because some Japanese politician apparently hates Japanese culture that isn't PG at worst? Has floated to me due to a channel I check up on in Newpipe.
The whole thing about Italy literally giving big corporations the right to decide what is and is not allowed on Italian Internet and forcing ISPs to block them effective immediately? First heard about it from the piracy(at)Lemmy(dot)dbzer0(dot)com community, when someone posted a link to a TorrentFreak article.
Things randomly drift to me because of how I view and consume media.
I think it's still nice to have just so that way if for some reason Proton suddenly disappears alongside Wine (alongside all their forks and other related things) in some catastrophically low odds event you can still play the game or use the program.
Works for Sonic 3D Blast on Genesis and probably the other games as well, but BARRACUDA (b a right right a c up d a) for certain things. I'd like to think it's debug mode, but I don't fully remember since it's been more than a few months since I last played and tried on either 3D Blast, 1, or 2.
My current one I found here on Lemmy. Someone made a post showcasing a screenshot of some discussion around someone who took the iconic Luigi Mangione smile but did a furry version. I had to have it, so I downloaded it and have furry Luigi as my background currently.
Otherwise, it's usually images I find online on art sharing platforms like DeviantArt or FurAffinity.
If possible, just get in my family's van and get into a big enough accident that I die. I ain't living in any form of zombie apocalypse if I have the choice.
Sliding joycons against a flat surface? Cannot wait for it to come out they intentionally made them so piss poor that after a few times doing it, your joycon breaks and you need to get an official new one in order to use that feature, which will probably be shamelessly required to use an important feature in some place like their shitty store.
Trust me, the whole world is falling apart. Eastern side of the world will fall quickly if the West falls because we're all connected.
Woke furries for the win.
A25 here, so far I'm in the same boat, bloatware and all.
Steam deck (LCD model) will, at no point, turn on unless plugged into charger or hooked up to the dock, regardless of how much battery is left. No response when trying to do things like booting into bios or anything else. Works perfectly fine when plugged in, docked to TV or standalone. No feedback at all, either, from buttons or trackpad haptics either when unplugged.
I've done a bios/firmware reset thing while plugged in and let that go for a while, following the advice of a Steam community forum (not sure whether the blinking power indicator thing is supposed to stop blinking when it's done, but I definitely let it go for longer than the forum post was saying). Went through the process of going through and enabling the main channel OS updates as well through dev settings and updating didn't fix it.
Have taken the backplate off and everything looks fine (I'm not an expert on mechanical things, though) and thankfully no spicy death pillow.
Any advice? At this point I'm even willing to back up anything important and do a factory reset if I have to. Also, if need be, I have a photo of the internals just in case I need to show it (again, not good with electronics on the hardware side of things).

Item was $4.50 for a used CD and checkout surprised me with this incredible deal! How could I say no to adding $99.99 on to the total?!?! /s
Mostly asking because I've never used these before due to never needing to. That, and I have a few old disc based PC games that I'd love to be able to straight up boot without the game disc. These are games I could just pirate, but I figure I already own them in disc, so I'd rather see if there are any reputable places with no-disc patches. The places I've looked in the megathread don't have what I'm looking for.
Closest they have is either a link to the game on another platform in the case of My Abandonware due to it being sold, or a link to just straight up pirate the full thing in the case of Magipack Games. I've also done some digging on the Internet Archive but have yet to yield results (probably because I suck at finding things there). Still gonna keep looking there, but any helpful info would be much appreciated.
I don't think I can share the game names, even in DM, due to the rules here, so site mainpages are my best shot.
I've never ripped CDs or DVDs before for any reason and am curious how this works since I have some stuff I wanna see about backing up but am nervous about ruining the disc. I've tried looking this up, but every time I do, I obviously am searching for the wrong thing because I have never found the info I'm looking for.
Linux noob. Just got a pair of Skull Candy Push Active XT bluetooth earbuds. They pair just fine with my setup but no sound comes through them. I found many different posts on various forums and nothing helped.
Using the inxi command I pulled some info I think might help, if it's needed. (I don't know if any of this is needed to help fix this issue. I've only been using MX for a little over a week and have never really done a lot of under the hood Linux maintenance before, but am more than willing to learn to fix this issue). If there is sny other information needed, I'm willing to edit this with any of that information, if I can find it.

Got a copy of Borderlands (EU iso) from the r/ROMS megathread and found out there is securom verification (which I have absolutely no experience with) as part of the installation process.
Closest I have found to a solution to bypass so far after some brief searching was one "Generic Securom 7/8 by Virusek" off of the "LOSTFILESARCHIVE" github page, which leads to a 404 page (even on the wayback machine).
Are there any programs or patches you would recommend to bypass this god awful drm?
