Lemmy Ask You
25 0 ReplyI like that one, but a little misleading if it's an IAMA. Maybe Lemmy Answer Anything? Though, LAY has a better ring to it than LAA now that I think about it.

This is perfect, but regardless I'd rather celebrities or whomever don't come to Lemmy.

Clearly we call them LAMAs.
12 0 ReplyLMAY - Let Me Ask You
LAY - Lemmy Ask You
9 0 ReplyWhy complicate things?
AMA is already defined in our lexicon beyond Reddit
9 0 ReplyProbably AMA, it's not like there's anything related to Reddit in the name
7 0 ReplyAnd yet, Reddit trademarked the term.
7 0 ReplyAMA : Ask Moi Anything!
5 0 ReplyThat's BS! We had AMAs on AOL!
3 0 ReplyHow does that work in the US? Since e.g. in the EU you can trademark everything and anything you like no questions asked almost. But it doesn’t mean anything if someone will dispute it. It doesn’t give you any rights or guarantees.

Since so many AMAs had lots of questions but frustratingly no real answers how about AAQ ... Answer all questions?
4 0 ReplyI can't believe 3 letters that stand for ask me anything have been trademarked, we live in a sick world

3 0 ReplyLAQ? Lemmy Ask Questions
3 0 ReplyI like this. Works well on SEO too and can easily be identifiable with Lemmy.

"Lemmy Know"
2 0 ReplyI don't see why the need to change "Ask Me Anything." It wasn't exactly a Reddit specific name or even a cutesy name, such as "AskReddit/Lemmy" is.

QandA? QnA? Short for 'questions and answers'
It's an incredibly broad term and I'd be shocked if anybody trademarked it like Reddit did with AMA.
0 0 ReplyWay too similar to the qanon nuts.
