I do believe they exist
I do believe they exist
I do believe they exist
ASMR meat slapping sounds.
With silent relaxing music in the background.
I fall asleep to horror stories
Yup, I don't get nightmares anymore, only "nightmares". Gore dripping from the ceiling, fires and poisons fill the air, and maybe my innards are now public decorations. The darkness soothes me.
IRL I'd freak the fuck out, but in Dreamland, it's just another beautiful day.
People that need sound to fall asleep scare me, so imagine me in the opposite corner.
Tinnitus is a pathway to many sleep requirements some consider to be unnatural
One of the rare things my wife and I weren't fully compatible on, she's like you and needs full silence/darkness to sleep whereas I need something that pulls my mind away from the existential dread to fall asleep. I now use earbuds...
I just need media to play as I fall asleep to block out my tinnitus man, my mental health problems are irrelevant to that fact.
clinician here, there's no link that I know of between hearing real voices and developing psychosis
For me it's less a case of 'I need this ambient music to fall asleep', and more a case of 'I enjoy listening to this ambient music and also I can fall asleep to it'.
It's changed a bit for me now, but when I was a teen I used to just whack on whatever I was listening to/enjoying at the time to fall asleep to, be it ambient, death metal, jazz, classical etc.
And as far as listening to people talking goes, that's nowhere near a 'this generation' thing. The sound of quiet voices murmuring on is just a naturally relaxing thing, think of a parent talking to their baby to get them to go to sleep.
I do agree, can't argue there. I don't actually fall asleep to media, but I know people that do.
What we need is some outdoor activity, like hiking, cycling, whatever. I don't think the gym is the right place, it's still indoors. I think we've just lost touch with nature with all these smart devices.
I just read a book and decide that that's it I'll go to sleep and close my eyes.
Before or after you drop a book on your face?
For me it's usually "after".
I read (and sleep) on my side. I prop up the Kindle with a pillow and have it tilted something like 35° so it's more comfortable. So far it's the best setup I've had.
I've never understood the reading to fall asleep, that shit WIRES me up. It will keep me up and reading till it's done, 13hrs straight to injest the book. More often than not I lose sleep because of reading when I start/finish a book
Wait how is nobody talking about this stock photo making no sense? Like what does the rabbit and bucket even fucking mean? And how do you apply that to a meme?
The bucket usually has nothing to do with the meme (in most I've seen). Though you can add text to mean something.
I mean ... like that?
People who fall asleep to cozly tied up anime characters pictures 👈
That's some Hunter S. Thompson level shit.
I once tried to fall asleep to erotica on the theory that I'd have erotic dreams instead of nightmares but I couldn't fall asleep so I listened to my sex playlist instead
People who fall asleep to Patrick Boyle rise up!
People who fall asleep to ASOIAF (Game of Thrones) theories.
And then wake up to Glimballs singing "Secret Tunnel"
puts on Merzbow
honk-chewwww honk-chewwww honk-chewwww
A late good friend of mine was a mad fan.
What about music or just nothing?
Nothing for me.
Same here
I mean... Sometimes I pass out right after jerking it 🤷🏻♂️
Straight orgasm to sleep sounds like a really shitty superpower.
It's not instant, but I definitely get very sleepy after orgasm a lot of the time. Like, out within 1-2min max. But I can also fall asleep basically anywhere at any time if I want to. I think it's just a family trait, because both of my parents can do it, and I've been checked for apnea, narcolepsy, etc. Some people can just fall asleep quickly
not to mention cleaning up
