Colorado's federal trial court on Thursday disbarred an attorney who spoke favorably about the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, called for former Vice President Mike Pence to be subjected to firing squads and claimed he had evidence of fraud in the 2020 presidential election.
”This order is simply more communist persecution of a supporter of President Trump and a follower of Jesus Christ.”
Back in reality, he was being investigated for his unhinged statements and other complaints with the potential for disbarment in Georgia, and asked the bar there to “retire” his license. They close the investigations and said sure, and you can’t practice law here or anywhere else. Colorado is following the practice of their federal courts, that he’s not allowed to practice law in CO as he’s not in good standing in other jurisdictions.
It's weird how lawyers have such excellent systems of cooperation for this kind of stuff while cops can just move a 20 minute drive away and nobody knows anything about them.
In an email to Colorado Politics, Wood said, "The order is errant nonsense as I am retired and have not practiced law in Colorado in over 20 years. This order is simply more communist persecution of a supporter of President Trump and a follower of Jesus Christ.”
If that’s true… then why does the nutter care?
Also… this persecution complex is fucking next level, even by evangelical standards
It's a sad trombone. Imzadi is irrelevant but funny in the context of the trombone player. Its also a 30 year old inside joke so explaining it will wilt any humor.
Will Riker has a recurring bit where he plays the trombone throughout Next Generation. Very often, they are staged as intimate moments where he is practicing and Deanna Troi comes into his cabin. "Imzadi" is a made up word from the series that means something like "beloved" in Betazoid and they periodically call each other that throughout the series, starting from episode 1.
You'd expect them to be at least somewhat compliant with those... what are they called? Guidelines? Laws? Guess you can be an attorney while being an idiot.
