When I was overwriting all my posts with the Power delete suite script, i got many error 503 errors

Btw, as it's written in the fine print, if you delete your reddit account, all your posts and comments aren't deleted and they will keep them forever with no option to delete them anymore

I did it not even half an hour ago and didn't get any errors. I have only my main account left. One last account before I leave for good. I'm also new to that script/tool so maybe I made a mistake? But then again it's pretty straightforward.

- Yes. I used it to purge my history. 13 years worth of comments and posts gone in a few minutes.

- GDPR is wrapped around personal information specifically related to identifying someone. Well it's possible to have posts that can demanded to be taken down by GDPR the vast majority of the stuff on Reddit is not applicable.

If you are in the EU, you should be able to force them to delete your account by filing a GDPR request.

You should file a gdpr data request before you delete your account. Even in big corps, those requests can be a real PITA. And of course, mine will be followed by a redact session and a gdpr deletion request.

Is there an app that can automatically gather every post & comment, later store this offline? Then i delite it on their servers with my account.
- PowerDeleteSuit does exactly what you need.
  PSA first save your comment and post history then overwrite your posts first and wait a day, so the reddit history database only contains the garbage you entered. Unfortunate I missed it.

The people with the actual power are the board of directors and investors. All they care about is money. That's how they got to that position. As far as they're concerned, the right the decision is the one that makes them the most money. And by "them", I mean each individual. They are all fighting for themselves. I haven’t tried to delete mine yet but I am glad I spent the time today and deleted my posts and comments (apart from most recent). 10 years worth of it! I will have it a bit to make sure they stay deleted. I heard about too many twitter accounts where the deleted posts come back

What's the easiest way to delete everything?
- I used http://redact.dev/ not sure if it’s the easiest way but it worked well for me. Lots of options too: exclude subs, pick only a time frame etc. Also does a ton of other SM

Just deleted mine. No issues, but I only used it for a year or two. Maybe it's made differently for more productive accounts? Idk
