Maybe theyre adding a companion app? The focus is a big deal in the game, and niantic has sold out the technique to 3 game series with middling to better success already. Maybe it will have some gimmicky pokemon go esque deal for minor game resources.
At least when it was popular, Pokemon Go was basically a reskin of an existing game, Ingress. The concept was cool, but the execution was lacking.
I was surprised they seemed to have learned nothing, like the rural/urban problem, and made basically no changes.
Heck, you can even add MMO to that too, as it’s one of the PS single player crafted games.

How is Horizon going to translate into an MMORPG? It just doesn’t strike me as a franchise that would get an MMO, but here we are.
Even in game the tribes often sent people out in groups to explore and hunt robots. It would be pretty easy to turn killing giant robots into an mmo. There's enough gear in the games to make some basic archetypes prevalent in mmo games. There's really just not an apparent healer, but you could work around that with a design where every player has to occasionally be the tank and then heal themselves when needed.
It wouldn't be a fast paced "bullet time" style shooter like the main games, but there's solid potential in it.

Sounds like bullshit. This is based off job adverts on LinkedIn. Given Guerilla have been releasing for PS all along, it’s likely they already have the people to write that. They’re lacking for the other platforms so they’re hitting for those.

Guessing Genshin Impact like gameplay? Dunno what engine they use but AC: Jade seems to be awfully similar gameplay-wise and it's on UE afaik
