Chrono Trigger Director Asks What Fans Would Want In A Remake
  • I'd like nintendo to not have a single scrap to do with it.

  • Diagon Lemmy - A Harry Potter-themed Lemmy Server is now live (before you block me instantly, please hear me out)
  • amazing. the very first line told me everything I need to know about what kind of person you really are.

"those trans people don't act the same way as me, so they're obviously wrong."

grow up, man. not everyone is going to agree with your weird victim-obsessed ideals.

  • Diagon Lemmy - A Harry Potter-themed Lemmy Server is now live (before you block me instantly, please hear me out)
  • in my friend groups, quite a few people are binging hogwarts legacy at the moment.

most of them are trans. nobody is outraged. they just have jk blocked on twitter. they're still potter fans.

there's an obsessive hate in a lot of trans communities that nobody talks about. the "you like this book series so you're a terf!" type mentality is really tiresome.

  • Nintendo Switch Is Now Japan's Top-Selling Game System Ever
  • mine as well. I had a gba sp that I used until the plastic showed under the paint from wear and the hinge no longer clicked.

    loved that console.

  • Nintendo Switch Is Now Japan's Top-Selling Game System Ever
  • the article lists a source. Game Watch. Translated from Japanese to English.

"Cumulative domestic sales of Nintendo's game console "Nintendo Switch" series exceeded 33.34 million units. It exceeded the record for the Nintendo DS series of 32.99 million units, making it the best-selling game console in history in Japan."

This is much easier if you read the article and check the sources yourself.

  • Discord Servers asking for Phone Numbers and 'Verification Levels'
  • what "bad guys"? Whatever the server owner feels is appropriate for levels of validation is up to them. ya know?

  • Discord Servers asking for Phone Numbers and 'Verification Levels'
  • on quite a number of servers that are 18+, higher verification usually sounds a little bit more safe. But then on most of the servers I run or moderate, we tend to have our own in-house verification methods instead of the built levels for discord.

the idea of the verification levels is attractive, however. anything to keep the kids out. though I'm not sure I'd go as far as requiring a phone number, I might consider it for future.

it depends on how the server is going to be used. why a gaming server should be highest level, I don't know. I would think "high" is enough.

  • The Weekly 'What are you playing?' Discussion
  • in my experience, you can get pretty smooth gameplay at the cost of graphics, or pretty decent graphics at the cost of smoothness and fps.

I have mine set to pretty ok-ish settings for both. but then I tend to swap between handheld and docked for most games. so I'm kinda used to the graphics by now.

hope you find a setup you like <3

  • Naked NPCs all over the place
  • I was taking a look at your load order to try and see what might be causing it. I didn't expect that many mods, man. Sorry. XD

  • Naked NPCs all over the place
  • holy crap am I reading correctly that you are running 1193 mods?

  • KDE Rice?
  • you're fine, dude. no idea what the other person is talking about.

  • Yuzu - Progress Report December 2023
  • I know it's not the point of the article, but the humor all through made this a much more enjoyable read. ☺️

  • What's the best way to play the Java edition of Minecraft on Android in 2024?
  • Modding on bedrock is a completely different world. Our mods are different, for sure. The difficulty comes in version updates. Because older versions of bedrock do not work. But active modders are generally pretty good about keeping stuff up to date.

I currently have a huge skyblock oneblock modpack I'm using at the moment. it's quite fun.

I do wonder if it's prior reputation is what keeps modders from using the platform.

There is a stigma associated with bedrock that persists to this day, unfortunately. It'd be nice to see modding get more robust and see more modders trying their take on bedrock mods more often. Here's hoping that happens in the future.

  • SteamOS 3.5.13 Preview - Status LED Brightness and small bug fixes
  • oh I getcha. another comment told me the LED can change colors on the OLED so I was confused.

  • SteamOS 3.5.13 Preview - Status LED Brightness and small bug fixes
  • Ahhh I see. I didn't know that. I think I was just hoping for a solution to dim the normal white charging indicator.

thanks very much for the reply.

  • it just said for the OLED version. Does it not apply to the LCD version? I am trying to find it, but I'm having no luck.

  • What's the best way to play the Java edition of Minecraft on Android in 2024?
  • My bedrock versions are modded, and the performance is butter. Considering it can run smoothly on pretty much all platforms, from toaster to high end PCs.

I'm not sure what you mean by "technical", however. Can you clarify? Redstone function, maybe?

I notice a lot of people still use the same old sayings when it comes to dismissing the most widely spread version of the game. Grievances so old they've been a thing of the past for years.

I'm not sure why, considering both versions are great for different reasons.

  • Serious Campaigns
  • Is there any indication or data pertaining to what will happen when the evil Shredder attacks?

    My research is also ongoing.

  • Serious Campaigns
  • Indeed. As I understand it, Raphael is cool, but rude. But I hear Michaelangelo is a party dude.

I cannot confirm these speculations with certainty, however.
