I realised today I'm living my life sort of backwards. I wasted my 20's being drug fucked dealing with a shitty home life so didn't get to travel, go out, do normal stuff.
But I'm doing it now. And I have to say, it's a hell of a lot of fun. I've got a shitload of energy despite being 41 and yeah, who said anything about slowing down lol
Nuremberg Christmas market this morning. It was HEAVING all day, too busy to properly enjoy. We went to the castle and wandered the city instead, just went in for a little while to check it out this evening before dinner.
Just got back from a hike in Kinglake, the whole place was covered in a super dense fog. Also had to cut the hike short because the leeches were insane, so much so it began freaking my hiking partner out.
My assignment is submitted and Science of Gardening is now officially over. My garden plan is nowhere near as pretty as the example we were given due to my lack of artistic talent, but hopefully covers everything.
If I was good at drawing I had some awesome stuff I would have liked to do - in particular I wanted to mark the location of the neighbours yard with "Here be Dragons" with a picture of a blackberry vine that looks like a dragon (as in the twisted stem forming the body, leaves for wings etc.). Instead I had to just use words to say that area needed to be monitored regularly for blackberries, which is way less fun.
I have finally finished the main work of my assignments that are due today. I still need to go through and do some editing and tidying, but the bulk of it is done. But my brain hurts and I need a break before I can do that. Afternoon tea and a dog walk should help.
Final assignment for my gardening course is due today, a plan of my garden. I have cleared table space. I have dug out the coloured pencils. I have found a ruler and printed off some graph paper. It feels like the old school assignment days - I haven't done work on actual paper instead of a computer in years!
Day 57/70: First day of week 9 weigh-in.
Down 0.5kg. Second week of half kg drops. Nearing the end of the diet, though truth to tell I've let the foot off the accelerator these past two weeks. There are just too many special occasions breaking the diet.
The best donuts. I’ll have a Vic market hot jam donut over one of those fancy toppings ones any day. Also the bratwursts from the bratwurst shop make a great market breakfast.
Hot on the heels of SASSPANTS SATURDAY I now present SHADY SUNDAY
Now that can mean something that is illegal or you can throw it at someone or something that isn't getting sun.
For me today it is the latter. my horizontal banksias are in the wrong spot and I'm going to have to dig them out this summer and we're not looking forward to that.
Remember that "failed experiment" fuel watch? Well, it started in WA and never left. The servos obviously hate it, but they're forced to publish tomorrow's prices online by 11pm, and must stay at that price the whole day.
That means you can go to the Fuel Watch site, open map view and it'll highlight the cheapest fuel today and tomorrow if it's evening.
Pretty sure we have cheaper fuel as a result. It's something about WA that I missed living in Melbourne, and you've reminded me that I take it for granted now that I have it back.
I used to work in the fuel industry. All their point of sales systems are synced for a particular company so they can fidget with pricing in real time.
I fucking hate the different copyright zones. It means if i change my address on my accounts I lose most of my bought music. Fuck you itunes and amazon.
Had lunch outside near an intersection. Shady stressed driving everywhere. Few big near misses, lots of drifting across lanes and charging through with too small a gap.. Be gentle peoples....we want you still here for Christmas.
I'll throw some shade at TEMU then, who are being very slow with my latest order. It's sitting in a facility somewhere when it is supposed to be here already.
I would like to be able to throw some shade at my garden beds, which get way too much sun in the middle of summer, but the package I am waiting for contains some vital components, so I can't!
This came up in my YT algorithm - clothing decisions
Succinct and useful. Might even follow as Justine seems clued up and sensible. Also French which adds a layer of credibility in clothing decisions.
I have a 9am dental appointment tomorrow, and the prediction is for heavy rain at that time. I don't think it is going to be the most pleasant walk. At least it won't be cold and windy.
Today wasn't great. Pain, stress nap. Somehow I still haven't had the energy to do more drawing practice.
At least the screaming seems to have stopped. Do I dare to hope the situation has actually been dealt with, or is it maybe just a temporary hold? I'll have to call back tomorrow and see what's up.
I feel like this sort of stuff has worsened since covid and should be treated as a public health issue. The support and oversight for people in crisis just isn't there.
The bot fails on a Sunday, yeah? Bot boss ( can't remember who it is) have you double checked whether the days of the week count should be 0-6 or 1-7? POSIX time (e.g. if you have a cronjob set up) is 0-6 where sunday is 0.
Just a thought (and thanks for the Bot in the first place).
It's not consistant in failing on Sunday, and it has posted the thread in the Food Community today with no problems. It does seen to fail more often on a weekend, either Saturday or Sunday but I have no idea why.
Once I have finished today's assignments I will have a bit more time and hope to get some new programming sorted. And possibly rescind the bot's work from home priviledges, maybe it will not slack off if it has a structured office environment.
Oh no tonight's match has been abandoned. Apparently the pitch in G-town is too wet and unpredictable. Can be dangerous. I was looking forward to seeing de Kock. They still let off the fireworks though.
