Since when were the SCP Foundation, Union Aerospace Corporation, and Aperture Science profitable? The first one spends billions to build facilities to contain demigods only to nuke the whole place when one breaks loose, the second has repeatedly lost an entire planet's worth of personnel and facilities to multiple demon invasions, and the third is closed for business due to the entire company (save two employees) being killed by a rogue AI.
