Sleep deprivation is like being drunk. You make terrible decisions, and operate on a small percentage of your potential.
Like being drunk, your brain compensates and you are not aware of being a dumb-dumb with the decision making capability of a 5 year old.
This behaviour is not surprising, then.
It's surprising to me how much rougher my gear changes are when I haven't had enough sleep. I feel just as awake, I'm just bad at it.
At least you perceive that happening. With a lot of other stuff the feedback isn’t as tangible!
