Tell me you haven't ever been to a gym without telling me.
Many gymbros are a lot more wholesome than their appearance may suggest, and I've gotten similar comments many time in the gym, both from complete beginners and also from guys twice my size

Well, maybe it did, maybe it didn't. But I don't understand this obsession with truthful stories. If something is funny or inspirational and manages to entertain or even inspire a few people, what does it matter if it happened exactly like that? If you go through life assuming every story on the internet is fake and that nothing wild ever happens, what kind of dull, sad life is that? I truly don't understand your mindset.

I feel like this isn't that unrealistic to be honest. I've been training for a few years and had multiple strangers comment positively and out of the blue on my training. I'm nothing special either, I think there are just nice people out there.

Happens all the time on MTB trails. People are really nice in that sport.
