Back when I was at uni I had a fellow student from England who complained about the formal you in German. It took him to start learning Japanese to realize it's really not that bad. In German it used to be that you say Sie to any adult-looking person until you both agreed to use du. At work this is a lot more relaxed now with entire companies stating everybody used du. Makes it much easier and nicer, in my opinion.

Well, maybe it did, maybe it didn't. But I don't understand this obsession with truthful stories. If something is funny or inspirational and manages to entertain or even inspire a few people, what does it matter if it happened exactly like that? If you go through life assuming every story on the internet is fake and that nothing wild ever happens, what kind of dull, sad life is that? I truly don't understand your mindset.

I think the term is fine. Interaction is also too broad a term, as there are many ways to interact with something. The main intent here is to observe, interaction just follows from that.

I think you get burns from direct contact and it requires continuous application, otherwise the person will wake up. At least that's what I heard. No practical experience at all. Seriously, none at all.
