Before you do make a decision, allow me to bring up a point you should consider...

I can't believe we had a project to turn foxes into domestic pets like dogs and cats and we cancelled it.
I remember learning about the Russians who tried that but it didn't really work to make them pets... https://www.sciencenews.org/article/russian-foxes-tameness-domestication.
What would it take to revive it?
Generations of selective breeding for tameness, loyalty, and trainability. You would need biologists, trainers, and possibly genetic editing. The entire project would take decades and maybe only partially achieve it's goal. If you want to Kickstart it, I'm down.
