Every day I see things that make me want back academia for genetic engineering. One more reason to put on the list: bioluminescent patches for LGBT lights.
My favorite evolutionary fact is how the sperm duct is wrapped around the bladder and pubic bone in humans that have them, forcing sperm to take a long path through the body. It was less of a deal when our ancestors walked on 4 legs, but now they're wrapped around the ureter which connects the kidneys and the bladder.
Funny that is also very similar to the recurrent laryngeal nerve. Goes under the aorta and back up to get to the voice box. A few inches out of the way on humans. Several feet in giraffes.
What was the name of that old subreddit?
Oddly Satisfying?
Strange how reddit is starting to get blurry in my memory, it's been over two years since I walked away and haven't looked back.
Remember when there was mod drama from users like jewdank and gallowboob? I haven't conjured up those usernames in ages!
