Looking for Canadian snacks without chocolate

Hey all,

Been realising that when I do my grocery shopping, I don't do a good enough job at getting snacks for the pantry. Decided to get a few things I know I enjoy, but I want to experiment with things I know that are made here a little more.

What are some solid snacks made here that you recommend, specifically ones without chocolate, as I am trying to avoid anything with chocolate for ethical reasons.

- These are great suggestions.
  I came to this sub/community looking for Canadian alternatives for Halloween candy.
  Trying to avoid Nestle is one thing, but I thought finding nut-free, individually wrapped, somewhat healthy snacks that are also made in Canada would be even more difficult.

- Forgot Dare made Jujubes! Grew up with my family getting Jujubes regularly, and I remember being the one that would have the black ones because nobody else in the family liked black liquorice.

Po-ta-to chips.
Hardbite chips, Pickles, Vegan Ice cream (in Vancouver, Earnest Ice cream Vegan Peaches and Cream flavour for example to avoid both dairy and chocolate)
Caramel corn should be available from local suppliers.
- Wish I could find more vegan ice cream. Chapman's has a sugar-free lactose-free ice cream. Issue is that because it uses maltitol as the artificial sweetener, you basically end up with the same effect as if there was lactose if you have too much of it in one go. For context, maltitol is the same sweetener used in the infamous Haribo sugar-free gummy bears.
  There was a brand I came across long time back that was oat-based and Canadian. Just can't find them anywhere anymore since the Urban Fare out this way in 'berta was converted to a Save On and no longer carries it.
Maple creme sandwich cookies! Many brands of these. Some are better than others.

It takes a moment of work but I mean just a moment. I suggest you grab some unsalted bulk nuts, and roast them yourself at a low temperature. They are unbelievably good, like surprisingly amazing.
I'll let some people have some just as a friendly gift, and then they demand to know where I got them, for they are the most flavorful nuts they've ever had.
Like I'm talking the cheapest bulk Barn nuts or raw almonds from Costco LOL

Three Farmers makes some good healthier snacks like these dill pickle fava beans. Good crunch, extremely good flavor (if you like strong, sour dill flavor), just have a nice cold drink nearby as it's drier than chips.
Doesn't always quite scratch the itch but I try to have them regularly as they're overall tasty, Canadian, sustainable and healthy!
I really like the nut mixes from Roasted Nut Company or Jewels Under the Kilt
LaCochina tortilla chips. Made in Manitoba.
There is always McIntosh's toffee. I'm afraid to eat it because I fear it will pull my crowns and fillings out, but if your teeth are made of sterner stuff, give that a try.
Can’t go wrong with Cheezies, ketchup Lays, or all dressed Ruffles.
- Lays and Ruffles are both American, under the FritoLay brand (owned by Pepsi).
  
  Indeed, but those flavors are distinctly Canadian.
- Will try playing it safe with Cheezies. I do like them, but with my lactose intolerance I need to be careful. I do like them a lot though, would have them every now and again before I developed the intolerance.
