Should have went with my parents. "You're expected to get As and Bs. Anything else and you're in trouble."
Which taught me to only work hard enough to get a B in every class.-
My mother wanted all As. I think I broke her when I flunked gym class.

Lolol the only class I failed was gym. My mom started yelling at me… I had to remind her that it was just gym not math and she let it go.

I don't want to one up, but I got in trouble for every A minus. My parents were petty bitches and my education system was easy unless you had a teacher who didn't like you. just doing the homework got you a B+

I got this (1-5 is like A-F in my country, but I'll go with the letters anyway):
A = +€1
B = +€0.50
C = €0
D = -€0.50
F = -€1
Teacher's note = -€1With some static monthly base. At first, the base was low enough I sometimes got debt as my pocket money in middle school...
Teacher's notes were even for shit like "doesn't have a pen" or "pencil not sharp enough".

I'd just change my name to Aaron Aardvark and collect my twenty-five hundred dollars (minimum) per report card.
My real name actually has 5 As. Also, funnily, all of them are pronounced differently lol.
