i have no idea what some of them are but i want to eat those till i get a sugar crash! 😛
I would love to have some of that baklava.
Damn. Even as a native, this is mouth-watering.
I will happily concede that I've probably only had bad, cheap stuff.
The only Turkish delight I’ve ever had was terrible. Far too bitter…
Should I try again or is it truly a bitter gelatinous treat?
Edit: It is now my life’s mission to try real Turkish delight.
Forget the gelatin cubes. They're terrible. Get the ones that look like logs.
You should 10000% try it again from Turkey. That twaddle sold by Fry's is hot garbage imho.
There is an absolute glut of terrible Turkish delight out there. I don't know why. Someone decided with a name like that perhaps you could sell someone anything and they would buy it? Try some at a really good Turkish restaurant or ask a Turkish friend to hook you up. If you just randomly try some again, chances are it will be awful again.
I've had all kinds of bad and good Turkish delight, but never any bitter one...
There's a place in Vancouver (BC) sells these. Fully amazing stuff.
Emilee's Sweet Shop on Hastings.
Looks amazing but a bit too sweet for my taste.
YUMM!
🎶 Gonna find this store, gonna spend all night
'Cause the plan's non-stop Turkish Delight🎵
