They better not put the bat convention attendees on the hotel floor above the pangolin convention guests!
My gut instinct is fear of rabies, not xenophobia. Maybe their shots weren't up to date.
- I believe (I am connected to people at the conference) it was named as lack of confidence they were coming for a conference and not intending to stay beyond the visa. A number weren't just attendees but speakers. It's bananas
- Rabies isn't THAT transmissible
