What will set Trump apart is that I'm pretty sure he'll deploy his ICE private paramilitary in blue states to discourage the "wrong" people from going out to vote, or deploy the military over some made-up emergency or other to cancel the elections altogether.

Lawmakers tried to pass election reform/protections during Biden's term, and they were systematically blocked by Republicans.
The lack of alarm and campaigning around that was exasperating. The Democratic party knew elections would be rigged and still chose to act like things were basically normal.
Isn't there some kind of law against election interference? Isn't there something that can be done about blatant lawbreakers?
Laws are a social contract and don't mean shit unless enforced.
The only legal mechanism for holding power accountable is the vote. Once that's taken away, you either accept subjugation or you don't. But the latter isn't legal and that doesn't sit right with a lot of folks.
