Edit: I got my MMR vaccine as a kid because it was required to be able to go to public school. I saw a post recently that if asbestos was still used in construction, and lawmakers tried to make it illegal, there would be a pro asbestos movement. That's where we're at.
I got an MMR shot last month because I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. It was easy to schedule and I didn't even owe a copay.
I got the shot as a child, but that was decades ago and there's a chance immunity wanes after 15 years. You can have titers done to make sure you still have immunity, but just getting the shot was easier for me. I'll have titers done at my next regular blood draw.
