TLDR, they moved to the US in late 2023, the son fraudulently used a credit card marked as stolen then was arrested and died in custody.
- "died in custody" is one thing, it happens, people die.
  
  But when it happens to dozens, hundreds, thousands of people a year? That's America.
  
  I read the article and can't find any mention of how he died, which also tends to make me think it was negligence.
  
  If it was something that could be spun as his fault or responsibility all the LEO would be broadcasting it as loud as possible.
- fraudulant credit card use is no reason someone should be executed
- I'm just stating what happened. You all are really assuming I'm glad he died, which isn't the case.
  
  I think the problem is the phrasing which seems to absolve the jail of responsibility.
