LG TVs’ integrated ads get more personal with tech that analyzes viewer emotions

I love my LG TV, but man did they enshittify the hell out of it.

And for the love of god, why does Netflix need to call home, when the app isn't even installed and I don't use it? My TV is a vector for spyware, and that's infuriating.

I have an LG. I love it. I've never connected it to the internet.

Too bad there isn't a company out there that focuses on making privacy respecting goods like TVs, washing machines, and cars. I'd buy all their offerings.

I love my Samsung TV. 4K HDR, 120 FPS in games, AI upscaling, low input lag. But it's just a display. I'll never connect it to the internet or allow it to update...

And people do wonder why my spouse and I refuse to own a tv...
