Ultimately, it doesn't really matter what you play with as long as you're having fun. However, actively belittling other IPs for a lack of combat variety and build diversity whilst sticking to, essentially, the same is a little silly
Most people using katanas in Elden Ring I am willing to wager haven't played Sekiro. Or even Dark Souls. ER is a whole lot of people's first FromSoft.
It's the players named 'Guts' using the katanas that really throw me.
Just beat it a few days ago. The combat is a masterpiece, once you get used to it. The only thing I dislike about it is dealing with terror.
I still believe it is the best game From Software has ever made, better than Elden Ring. I can't pick any single (real) flaw with that game. Pacing is perfect, combat is perfect, story is great, visuals are incredible. Yes, terror buildup is so god damm annoying, but it functions as a challenge mechanic in the game to do only optional things. If I had to give it numbers, I'd say that Sekiro is a true 10/10 game, whereas Elden Ring I'd give it a 9.5/10 (has it's flaws, my biggest gripe with it is that I don't quite agrre that this huge giant world is mostly all dead and lifeless, I fell like ER could benefit a lot from a Majula of sorts, and also the crafting part seems kind of out of place and not up to their standard of quality).
Moonveil is surprisingly strong. I accidentally killed the limgrave tree sentinel the first time I tried it. RIP training dummy.
Yea Moonveil is really strong but not egregiously so imo
I don't think I ever used those two. I also never care about or want to participate in pvp, so that's probably why.
