The national cattleman’s beef association called for “unrestricted market access” for US beef exports to Australia and an audit of Australia’s animal health and food safety standards.
I don't get this....take the auto industry Trump tariffs foreign cars, so some automakers setup in USA to manufacture, the rest of the world moves on.....USA now makes cars but can only sell them in the USA......not enough demand to sustain the auto makers...Manufacturers start buying each other out in USA........left with 1 or 2 big makers........the rest of world no longer cares and has detached from USA markets in general (or equally tariffs USA goods).....USA sits isolated and falling behind. Now expand this to other industries.
Adobe Haven’t these dickheads been charging Australians more for their products than anyone else for decades?
I think it's more aligned these days. But it used to be cheaper to fly to the USA, buy a copy of Adobe creative suite, go to Disneyland for the day and then fly home than it was to buy Creative Suite in Australia. It's all subscription-based, now.
Horrible to see Mozilla's name anywhere near a lobbying group that does this. Was actually going to donate a little money to them starting this year.
Luckily, due to the nature of Firefox forks and Thunderbird, they're free and can be set to not collect data, etc., so there's no point to boycotting the software itself.
Never thought of the GST as a tariff. I guess it kind of is, but for Everything including locally made products. USA are not smart enough to make this link though.
