She died by suicide after being fired. Her family is suing UW, saying superiors ignored her cries for help.
Jeanne Price told KUOW that leadership at the University of Washington Department of Laboratory Medicine knew her daughter was struggling with her mental health, but acted quickly to fire her before she could file for disability leave.
"Jeanne Price said her daughter, who was a new employee, made attempts in July to secure time off, but either didn’t qualify or was told she’d have to wait. Two business days after she notified her supervisors that she planned to apply for disability leave, they fired her."
They're dead to rights with that clear admission in writing.
what a heartbreaking situation
I can't imagine having to deal with the drama of finding my close friend dead and being expected to cut their head open to remove their brain.... fuck that is major trauma
