Today we’re introducing the Phone (3a) Series, elevating our mid-range lineup with advanced features. Building on the acclaimed Phone (2a), it boasts an ad...
I didn't make a mega thread for this launch. I didn't relize it was happening my bad.
Here are some notes:
Software:
running nothing os 3.1 and android 15
Nothing said the 3a series will get 3 years of os updates and 6 years of security updates.
Essential Space AI notes app? Mishaal will share his thoughts on Android Authority in the next few days.
hardware:
The main difference is the 3a gets a nice blue variant and its zoom lens is downgraded to a 2x non periscope zoom compared to the pro with a 3x periscope zoom lens. Selfi camera is 32mp while on the pro its 50mp
I'm not personally interested because of the lack of headphone jack, but I have always thought their marketing was going to have an up hill battle because of the name and I saw this quote in the article "Nothing is made better by its community" and it made me laugh.
Its a lot more than most Android OEMs outside of Google and Samsung. And for a device that (as far as I can tell) doesn't have a lot of other compromises? It's not too terrible.
The storage options are disappointing. How hard can it be to make a 512gb if not a higher storage model. Maybe, if there was a way to expand the limited fixed internal storage of a smart phone..
