Here's the price difference between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and the Dimensity 9400 - GSMArena.com news
> According to prolific Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is substantially more expensive than its MediaTek counterpart.
> DCS says the Dimensity 9400 can be had for about $155, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 costs a whopping $190. These are orientative prices, by the way, some smartphone makers may be able to negotiate significantly better amounts based on how many they order.
> The Snapdragon is over 20% more expensive, and for a lot of devices that could make a difference in their very pricing. The two upcoming SoCs are both rumored to be absolute beasts in terms of performance, easily surpassing any other chipset that's ever been made for Android devices.
Yeah, samsung has been stagnating for a years now. Chinese manufacteres are bringing silicon carbon batteries and other innovations in the market. But, samsung is pulling an apple on us. I respect the update policy and feature rich software from samsung but we need better.
Faster charging, higher density batteries, higher performance snaldragon 7+ gen processors, etc.
Its not an actual competitor considering you need both a samsung smartphone and the galaxy store app to actually download apps. The discounted apps are limited to samsung smartphones. Meanwhile, those brought on Playstore can be installed on any google play services compatible smartphone.
The recommendations are not the best but good enough. I usually get movie clips, repair clips, some animal clips and some tech ones.
YouTube Headquarters: ^^^^Coming ^^^^Soon
It won't. Higher midrange redmi phones do not support sdcard. I too am in the same boat for phones. Getting a good flagship grade phone with a good processor, updates support and sdcard support is tough. Samsung comes close but misses the mark by some.
Yeah, $200 is like the price of a fully functioning entry level samsung A15/16 series smartphone which would get 5-6 years of updates! This is ridiculous. Being a niche brand and pulling these stunts is stupid.
TL;DR
Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ will feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, making it the first phone with this chip. This new SoC promises improved performance and efficiency, including running games like Honor of Kings at 120 FPS.
The phone will also come with a large 6,200 mAh battery, though charging speed has been reduced to 90W from 120W in its predecessor. Additionally, the phone will have IP69 certification and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for enhanced durability.
TL;DR
-
YouTube is increasing subscription prices outside the US, affecting both individual and family plans.
-
The price hike differs per region, with some seeing changes between 30% to 50%.
-
If you're impacted, it makes YouTube Premium more expensive than Spotify Premium and Apple Music.
If they could they would easily be No.1. Their hardware lasts years. But their software, nope..
The warning prompt for dangerous permissions is not fun either.
That was a problem in the old android 10 smartphones on some devices. Most smartphones except from xiaomi can use gestures with 3rd party launchers. Not allowing gestures with other launchers is on xiaomi.
The animations may be buggy and, there may be other bugs. But, it works in other brand smartphones.
8 gen 1 was a 2022 chipset. The reason it's not being compared to 8 gen 3 is because its not in the same league as the latest 8 gen Snapdragon.
Usually, the reason my phone restarts is due to using virtual RAM and having the phone under memory pressure. Disabling or reducing the virtual RAM made the phone snappy at the cost of increased App reloads. Choose the balance you like. The hardware is not strong enough for multi tasking anyway. Assuming it has RAM plus.
I'm speaking from experience of using galaxy A22 5g which had 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. But, this is still true on my realme smartphone with 12GB of RAM.
AI controlled music is legit a cool idea, just thumbs up or down the song it played to change it and show me new cool stuff.
Yeah.
Except Google.

> Ask Music” is the name of the AI prompt-based conversational radio in YouTube Music, and it’s seeing wider availability, including internationally, in recent weeks.
> The feature appears as a purple card in the Home feed, like Create a radio or the banner advertising the availability of the June – August 2024 recap. Tapping launches a fullscreen chat UI with accepted prompts ranging from a few words — 80s inspired indie, Dreamy synthpop, Saddest songs, etc. — to sentences.
> After a few seconds, you get a playlist card with YTM translating that query into a shorter title and longer description. It auto-plays the first track by default with the ability to save to your library, and provide feedback.

That 2gb can make the difference between apps being reloaded or not. 6GB is the barely minimum if you use your phone more than just a phone. In a few years 8GB will be the new minimum.
This is the correct answer. I made a 1.5 minute long phone call. Before recording, the phone app used 152mb of storage space. But, after call recording it increased to 154mb.
Super fast charging damaging your batteries hasn't been true for a while. Charging standards like supervooc push the heat to the charger and charge two battery cells simultaneously. This reduces heat generation significantly than if you were to charge traditionally. My 15w samsung smartphone generates much more heat while charging compared to my 67w realme smartphone which stays cooler even while charging at quadruple of speeds.
Other smartphones slow the charging rate when the display is on. Phones which support supervooc can charge your phone at the same speed regardless of display being on or off.
My phone also has a smart charging feature where it can slow charge the battery at night & limit it to 80%. In the morning just before I remove the phone from the charger it will finish charging to 100%.
Samsung’s response to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 paint peeling issue has sparked comparisons to Apple’s notorious “you’re holding it wrong” moment.

> Through a new joint initiative, Google and Apple are making it possible to transfer playlists between Apple Music and YouTube Music in either direction using the “Data Transfer Project.”
> This new option arrives via Google and Apple both using the “Data Transfer Project” stack which was developed by the two companies as a part of the Data Transfer Initiative, of which both Google and Apple are members. This same ongoing partnership has also previously delivered the photo-sharing tool used to transfer photos and videos from iCloud to Google Photos.
In a blog post, the Data Transfer Initiative (DTI) teases that other services may join in time, saying:
> Portability is a hard problem, and no tool can be perfect. But at DTI, our ambition – shared with our partners – is to build and ship best-in-class offerings for direct portability. We believe we have accomplished that goal with this newest DTP-powered tool, and we’re proud that users of Apple Music and YouTube Music can now transfer playlists between those services, free of charge, with a high quality experience. We hope and anticipate that other services will join us in this journey over time
