The biggest PC gaming subreddit has blacklisted X for being 'hateful' and 'toxic', citing Elon Musk's 'distasteful' behavior
Reddit's /r/pcgaming community has blacklisted X, formerly known as Twitter. The community says X is "hateful, toxic" and "increasingly less moderated" Users will still be able to post screenshots of posts from the platform. Musk has been embroiled in a controversy around account-boosting on games like Path of Exile 2. ποΈπ€

Valve dev says SteamOS isn't about killing Windows: 'If a user has a good experience on Windows, there's no problem'
Valve's Linux-based operating system has been in development at Valve since 2012. The focus at the moment is on compatibility with traditional PCs, laptops, portable consoles and any other formats. The open nature of it inevitably brings to mind Windows, the world's most popular operating system and a closed one. ποΈπ€

Links to Twitter/X and alternatives like Nitter/Xitter are now banned. Report such posts for removal. Only screenshots are allowed if the news isnβt sourced elsewhere. DOOM: The Dark Ages Drops Multiplayer In Favour Of 'Most Expansive' Campaign Ever
Xbox and Bethesda developer id Software this week shared a proper reveal of DOOM: The Dark Ages. One thing, in particular, highlighted in the first round of previews - is the fact this game is a "strictly campaign" affair. In other words - don't expect multiplayer to feature. ποΈπ€

Sony delists PS5 spam games after developers speak out
Developer RandomSpin Games has had all of its PS5 and PS4 games removed from the PS Store. It's unclear whether this removal was a response to the developers or was just a coincidence on Sony's part. The PS Store is constantly being overloaded with paid platinums and spam games. ποΈπ€

I hoped the update would enable pure black mode, but itβs Android 14-only. I wish retro handhelds supported FOSS Android distros like LineageOS. Still, happy with the update, trying Molla launcher and ES-DE. ππ€Posted by Shatur
