Uncle Sam might be sad, but the trapping is quite intentional. Uncle Sam could have said no, but he didn’t. There are thousands of uncle Sams out there today saying yes. And that’s terrifying.
He did something and didn't realize the consequences?! I'm shocked!

Like any part of the current administration would care about stepping in wet paint.
If they can't get other countries to play ball and the tariffs continue, they'll forge ahead with getting rid of income tax... that's the plan. Income from tariffs to replace income tax; it's a super regressive tax on the workers and small businesses, but the billionaire class will only soar to higher heights.
I'm sure the people who made this decision will be alright. The rest (including those who voter for them), not so much...
