I'm pretty sure I understand what the red one is, but what's the other supposed to represent?

  The one on the right is a deep-cut reference to the time OpenBSD's mascot was a red daemon with a halo.

  Is the humanoid Glenda the original? Another descendant? Or simply the spirit of the plan9 machine?
  
  At least I was correct that the red one was some form of BSD. Gonna have to look up plan9, though. Don't think I've heard of that one.
