This image would be more believable if the truck was parked about two feet onto the road, so it blocks the sidewalk and any bike lane that might be there.
That happens a lot where I live, and I especially love the ones with trailer hitches inconspicuously sticking out in the bike lane so it can break your shin.
the newer, nicer suburbs in austin have extra large driveways and i've always suspected it was for something like this pic. lol
Its because the modern family needs 5 cars. 1 per parent, 1 per child once old enough and a back up car. Or the developer was forced to meet some ridiculous parking minimum based on bogus statistics.

That's because they forgot to take the hitch off. You can help them by kindly removing it taking it to the scrap metal place
Trailer hitches are much more dangerous to pedestrians than you'd think.
@AceBonobo @Showroom7561 I believe that around here they are required to be removed when not in use.
Not that anyone knows this.
Everything is allowed when you have zero enforcement.
If a cyclist clipped one of those, our city would remove the bike lane!
