Right sentiment, wrong solution.
You don't fix workers' problems by being a dick to them and making it hard for them to afford to live - you fix workers' problems by inflicting the pain on the decision makers - employers and legislators.

The operative word in that statement is should, Leon
Yeah, I want waitstaff to be paid a living wage.
Until that happens tipping is a necessary evil.
Or maybe tipping is enabling the practice?
