Sorry friend, but in the immortal words of Karen Carpenter: "it's only just begun!"
We still face weeks of crippling political analysis, sensationalist reporting about phantom voter fraud, tantrums, recriminations, threats, and histrionics (if Harris wins, and probably even if trump wins his followers will still do this), hand-wringing about the far right's plans, probably some domestic terrorism, etc.
But hey, you did your part - you voted. And so did I and many others. We did all we can.
It's a beginning. Regardless of the results, Americans need to become more regularly involved with their representatives. Democracy, even representative, doesn't end at the vote. Voting only puts a person in place, it doesn't hold them accountable or let them know what your concerns are.
